NuTech has a bunch of DVDs with DTS and Dolby 5.1, but the surround is mostly just used for music. The 'dialogue' (if you wanna call it that) sort of echoes in the left and right channels, I was sort of hoping it would be kept only in the center channel so I could disconnect the speaker and get to hear the music by itself (Are they ever gonna do a porn DVD with an isolated music track?) "Sensual Experience" has a few 'supernatural' surround effects related to the plot but nothing great during the sex scenes, plus the music is boring George Winston-wannabe stuff. "Pandora Peaks: A Peek of Pandora" has some great music though.
Got the movie...not what we had in mind...Looking for one like Planet was referring to. Moans in one speaker~grunts in the other~not music. Any other recomendations?
I don't know of a single adult title that was *recorded* in six channel digital. The very best you can hope for is a Dolby Stereo audio track matrixed and presented as Dolby Surround. You won't get the "Planet Sex" effect since there isn't true directionality, just an audio illusion. Most adult titles that do more than stereo put ambient effects or musical soundtrack in the surrounds.
It's just a case of diminishing returns. Why would any studio spend the money on mainstream feature quality audio? And I highly doubt that any all-sex feature (which would probably benefit most from 5.1 audio during sex scenes) would have it (if anything, some $500K huge adult project might make use of true surround audio -- even then I doubt it...I'm sure some mainstream studios spend more than that on the audio recording and mastering alone.
