unfortunately, the music and lack of sex sounds ruined it big time. I felt like I was watching some softcore Playboy centerfolds video, and it really detaches you from the sex.
porno is two things....visual and aural elements. the visual sex was top-notch, the aural sex at the very bottom of the bottom. with one lacking it ruins the entire experience

I bought Ass Fanatics #1 last week and reviewed it. I thought it was pretty good but I noticed a couple details on the cover I missed in the dvd. It mentions Samantha doing some anal penetration and from the copy on the dvd's backcover I think most any porn fan would assume she did anal sex but that wasn't the case or I missed it and I tried watching the scene twice! The other area was in Audreys scene the copy makes it sound like she does double anal and it appears there's a picture on the back where she's doing RC Double anal but again I missed it in the scene and I try and watch them carefully and if I missed it please point it out and I'll gladly stand corrected. I loved the cast, how can you go wrong with Ariana, Haley Paige, Audrey Hollander!! So I liked the first disc and I wouldn't mind checking more dvds out by X-Worx.
Masamune,thanks for the feedback. I have heard similar thoughts on our choice to put only music in X-Vision #1. But rest assured those criticisms have been addressed with the next volume of the series. We will still have music but it will not play throughout the scenes, it will be tastefully mixed with natural sounds of sex. X-Vision vol. 2 looks as great as the first but music/aural issue has been changed..I think you will really like it!

At any rate, I really liked X-Vision, outside of the obvious reason. I too though the lighting was great and the camera work was just a great! Minimizing the use of music will take this studio to the top, you have a very good crew there.
Watching the scene with Audrey right now and sure enough there it is!! Some nice double anal in Reverse cowgirl so thanks for pointing that out and I thought her scene regardless was good. Now for the anal fingering of Samantha that really should have been listed on the backcover or not listed at all if it's only fingers in her ass. That is a small point but if I saw that my first reaction would be she does anal with a dick and I'd be a little upset when watching her scene and not seeing that. I've never been a fan of music being the main aural stimulant in a pornographic scene. I can tolerate light music in the background, as long as it does not supercede the sounds of the sex itself. But I personally enjoy it most when there is no music at all when the sex is taking place. It's okay to use the music at the beginning of the scene or during a tease sequence, but I think the use of music during the sex itself really takes away from the overall viewing experience.
I hope future titles will not be dominated by the music, but that is just my opinion. Cheers.
Since your company is new and willing to take risks, here are some suggestions that can seriously differentiate you from all the other cookie-cutter studios:

The music wasn't bad, but i think like JYLC does in his movies, you should have the option of having it on or off available, and if the music is repetitive, have it as a bedded track.

It is hard to sync up the audio with the video when you slow down the action, in X-Vision #1 we slowed the video down 20 to 50% to emphasize the great action and shots we have. Visually it works great, but designing the audio to work with that is difficult. The second volume of X-Vision we have added much more sex audio, but it is very challenged to make it all work together right.

I've just seen Xvision and though I'm not a fan of gonzo I do like well photographed porn. The first thing that struck me was the excellent quality of the video. (I got Xvision along with Vivid's The Masseuse and I've posted my thoughts on that movie's picture quality in the Features Side.) The sex was good, very hot, but some of the acts (esp. A to M) were repeated so many times I got bored and used fast-forward. I agree with some of the other posts here that the music became irritating after a time; some sound effects would have been nice. Otherwise this was an enjoyable slice of porn.
Now, if only you can start an Asian series, or even use your technical knowledge to produce a feature!
x-worx dg: i just posted my 3 1/2 star review of xvision. the lack of an audio track detracted from the movie and that is why i didn't rate it higher. fantastic cast in hot action and good camerawork.
