| tricia_devereaux Evil Angel DVD Patience is a virtue, but who wants to be virtuous? 4283 Posts 4/00 | Most of you know I've gotten LOTS of email and read lots of posts from Toshiba DVD player users who have had difficulties with Evil Angel DVDs. I'm trying to do some more research to see if my current authorer can do something different with his existing equipment. It would help me greatly if those of you who've had Toshiba-Evil Angel problems post here. Most important to me is what specific models, the specific titles from Evil Angel DVD that there were problems with, and what the problems were. Also PLEASE let me know if you've had any success with any Evil Angel DVDs on your player (we've used a varied number of authorer/replicator combinations.) I asked John to buy the DVD department a 2200 for Christmas, and he did, but there's no way I could try all of their models by myself. [Link] |

As I plan on either sending in the player for the firmware fix or buying another brand, I don't let it bother me too much. In fact, I've even got Nudes A Poppin 9 on my list for my next order. Thanks for all your help with this, even though it seems to be more of a Toshiba problem than Evil Angel. DB |

| ultanium New Member United States 4 Posts 4/01 | I gave a Toshiba SD1600 as a gift to one of my friends last xmas, and all the problems he had were cured with a simple firmware upgrade. On my Apex AD600 player, I upgraded both the player firmware and the loader firmware and cured all of playback problems, even T2:UE. Take a gander at some of the following links: http://www.keohi.com/keohihdtv/usefulinfo/dvdplayer.html A web search will reveal tons of pages on how to do it, but be forewarned that you can KILL your player if you do the upgrade wrong, just like flashing the BIOS on your PC.
