Then you should read the book from the russian living in the States up untill the 70's, the giant Vladimir Nabokov or something like that. Maybe the best book I've ever been reading thru. That's art, man. Forget about the film. It's not possible to get it better done that way. Haven't been reading hundreds of books thru because most of them sucks or bores me out much to the same reasons - the lack of believeable storylines, or deep shit and tragedy in every fashion and direction, or just boring shit in bad dressings, or just someone gone lucky that I don't care about. Me I've read about what's been happening in real life, or what someone wished for them to happen. Lolita was nothing like all that. It was a film and you can see it for yourself. I saw it in three days back in 2005.
The russians today making porn ain't comming close. Much of the lolitas over there are just acting like pieces of dressed up paper while as Nabokov's comes alive and may freak you out a little bit.
