In my humble opinion most porn available is very brutal/cold. Let me try to explain, you have the special interest movies/genres which take things to the extreme with creampies galores and fisting and what have you not - which can be exciting to watch from time to time. And you have the "regular hardcore scenes" - guy meets girls - maybe 2-3 lines and they get started - music starts - fucking sucking licking cumshot (lots of focus on the genitals - diffrent positions) - cut to next scene. There are some attempts to creating movies with a little bit of story but even they seem to be pretty women who drive in fancy cars and start having sex three minutes after a male enters the scene. I've seen some euro-style porn as well - they seem to use a diffrent camera-technique, anal-sex is dominant, the camera never moves and the camera is often in a tilted position (not sure if this style is limited to a certain director or country?). Something breaking from these predefined patterns is a very rare thing - at least nowadays. What I'm wondering is what happened to the dialogues, or were there never any, why is it just "oh yea! yea! fuck me! fuck me!", has it become illegal to talk ? I mean if they are supposed to show a fantasy setting - e.g. doctor patient setting - why is there no dialogue after "oh doctor i have pain in my balls - let me relieve your pressure". Another thing which is a little bit too common is that each scene in a movie must "do it all" there's blowjobs fucking in n positions and the famous cumshot. It's very seldom to see a movie trying to be a story instead of with only elements of hardcore - meaning that there might be some scenes with full sex, but there should also be shorter scenes with perhaps only oral sex. I think this was a little bit more common twenty years ago but what happened to this - and do they still make movies like this? Another thing which I've almost never seen - but which I saw in a clip from a film some days ago (Which is why i wanted to post this) was the focus on genitals - I feel like every movie does it now, the lightning might be sensual, the setting might be sensual but it's still the damn focus on genitals, showing the action in all it's glory. The clip I saw recently, I think it was a movie from the 60's or early 70's (perhaps european), focused very much on closeups of the bodies instead, you could a drop of sweat from the back of the woman running down her back, and the camera would pan slowly on her body. When showing her pussy, the camera showed the guy licking here but from a low angle - not focusing on the genitals - but yet showing that he was doing it. When she was sucking him, they had a very close up focus on her face so and they barely showed the guy's penis, and it touched her mouth lightly - not the semi-automatic pumping action which is the norm ttoday. The focus was on the tounge gently touching him..and lips barely enclosing his penis. And the question I'd like to conclude with, do they still makes movies like this and if so could anyone recommend titles? [Link] |

And I do agree there are too many close-up shots, but again it doesn't appear to bother many others. There are directors who pull the camera back and let you see more of the entire scene though, sweat and all. Just doesn't appear to be enough of them for me though. People's perceptions can very, so what's right or hot to someone, may not necessarily be the same to another. I don't know what your performer preferences are, but I can give you what I think may be right for you. I tend to chose most films by the females and then the directors. There aren't alot of titles that I follow. I'm gonna go mostly by director here: John Leslie- I think John is generally great with angles and the camera. Not always a lot of dialogue in his films though, as I think he lets the sex do the talking. Joey Silvera- Usually pretty good set-ups. Dialogue tend to vary scene to scene though. Great at showing the actual action. Late Rex Borsky- About as underrated as they come IMO. Again not a lot of dialogue, but the action is usually shown well. Justin Slayer- notice a pattern with me here. Superior camerawork IMO. Again not usually much dialogue, other than real unscripted talking. Stoney Curtis- Very underrated IMO. Must admit I haven't seen anything recent from him, but I always though his dialogue set-ups were second to about none. Seymore Butts- See Joey Silvera Early John Stagnolia- No one did it better IMO. Influenced at least half the people I already mentioned. Haven't seen any recent though. Cash Markman- On the Feature Side- Cash is my man. Usually mixes sex and dialogue pretty well. Witty Dialogue. Robby D.- Especally like his Jack's Playground series. Some of the funniest set-ups and dialogue I've ever seen. Dialogue is generally pretty good in this series. Haven't seen many of his feature films though. Nick Orleans- Unfortunately shoots in slow motion sometimes, but sex and dialogue is generally pretty good. Edited by - aplus on 1/17/2008 6:34:51 AM |

If you look at a movie like "Fantasy", there are much more dialogue scenes as sex scene. I like this, but I heavily doubt, that most of the men like this. But mainstream or independent movies are slowly moving towards porn, e.g. Ken Park etc. At least they have some scenes that are almost X-Rated. And movies without dialogues dont have to be "cold", look at Pureplay, Abby Winters, Sweethearts from Europe etc. They can be very erotic and lovely too.
