You guys have acknowledged having issues with the audio recording, and tbh, from a recent preview I checked out, it does sound lacking in this aspect. In fact, one of the things I always felt like gave HushHush an edge, back in your first wave/generation, was the rawness of it. I like how it had a homemade kind of feel to it, like real off-the-street and edgy. I think you should continue to play that up, now with your obvious advantage of high definition. The video quality is definitely improved over where it was years ago. That's an indisputable step up. But you can still take more advantage of this I think if you get more handheld camera work in there. That tripod approach doesn't work well unless you have multiple cameras as well as tremendous stage production value and lighting. Without those frills, the product may look flat, less engaging. Which brings me to the 2nd suggestion: B] Move the camera around. Get a greater variety of angles: above, below, POV, roaming, etc. It keeps the action appearing to be varied, even if the performers are limited by the furnishing to just a few positions. If you can't better furnish your set and allow more positions, then that's all the more reason you've got to try different camera angles to compensate and keep the visuals interesting and varied. Just play to your strengths. Looking back at the greatest HushHush scenes of all times, you had dynamic camera work and lots of positions. For an example, look no further than what is regarded as one of the greatest gonzo sex scenes of all time. Jaelyn Foxx versus Richard Mann. This scene was outrageous and represents the zenith of your format. I hope you can continue to grow and present more scenes like that. [Link] |

I know you must have shot it before my suggestions, but I will say I liked the semi-POV shot near the end of preview, as Piper is pumping Dredd's load out. This was great for multiple reasons. First, it gives us a new angle, different from the preceding shots, standard side views of the fucking. Also I really like the choice to have Piper stroke him to climax, rather than the conventional and overused standard formula of using the female til the male nears climax, and then having him just take over and rub it out. Keep up the hot stuff. Looking forward to seeing continued development and creativity. [Link] |

I've always enjoyed your studio's joints. I like "fresh off the street" vibe. No porno clothes with six inch clear heels. I liked how you guys shot a variety of women. And the fact that you catalog WASN'T always broken down into Busty, Big Ass etc etc. Abominable Black Man could have Teen, MILF and a PAWG all in one movie. But my favorite aspect is/was how you film your BJs. I dig the camera angle. You get to see the broads work their skills. Like I said, I haven't heard Dredd ask a starlet to say the N-Bomb and I hope it stays that way. Blacked and DarkX have proven that IR doesn't have to be trashy or diving anymore to sell.I only ever bought your compilations releases. Best of Blackzilla & Manaconda. Why? I could understand why some guys are reluctant to purchase movies that emphasize the big dicks on the cover, despite the fact that big dicks are almost universally popular among the majority of porn consumers which is mostly males. Conventional wisdom is nobody wants to see small dicks in porn, just as surely as nobody wants to have a small dick. I don't remember reading about any multi-billion dollar market for penis-shrinking pills, do you? lol No pharm companies are investing hundreds of millions into R&D for penis shrinking pills. It's virtually unanimous we like seeing big dicks smashing tight little pussies. But we guys are also quite self-conscious of this at the same time. I don't know if that reflects homophobia (I think not) so much as fear of being perceived as homo. When people decry homophobia it's typically to do with hatred and hostility toward gays. But there's another kind of homophobia which is much more common, and this is the fear of being perceived as gay. So it sort of demonstrates the double edged sword that porn producers must wield smartly to cater to the major demand to see big dicks in straight porn, but also without alienating self-conscious male consumers. Oh and for the record, I find Blacked's DVD covers very boring. I think it's just a fad though, the elegant/glam look that is. Their content is great and still miles ahead of almost everyone else in terms of production values and photography. But I still like gonzo scenes and I still like graphic and lewd covers. Since they don't appear to have any other black male talent, it simply hinges on what Dredd feels like. On the other hand, it would be great if Hush can invite Shane Diesel back for some hardcore Blackzilla stuff, which I recall having lots of raceplay in it. Of course, I am not suggesting replace Dredd or anything like that at all. Keep him, but also it would be great to supplement your scenes with him with more scenes with Shane. It never hurts to have more guys to step up to the plate. Maybe you could do heavy race play scenes with Shane and the neutral IR scenes with Dredd? I think I read somewhere that Dredd has been very popular in the swingers scene of Florida, one which is very appreciative of black bulls dominating cuckold couples. So I would have to imagine the topic of raceplay has been raised before and he's not oblivious to it. There was an article I read recently about a popular black stud who escorted for swingers and he was well aware of the racial themes, either as undercurrents or just expressly requested. Maybe there's a different direction for new scenes in which they avoid hard raceplay content, or maybe it's just not been opened to discussions. But they should at least talk about it behind the scenes and weigh their options because there are a lot of fans of the classic HushHush IR sites who have not had anybody really cater to them in 5 years or so. So my message for HHE Team is, whether you want to address this here or not, at least consider it in your meetings. Poll your members if you haven't yet. [Link] |

And as for negativity, you seem to be the only source of that in here. Do you think a porn brand like HushHush had some kind of adverse effect on race relations? You think the black studs banging white girls who call them the N-word is what creates racism - or if not the source, then a source? To my knowledge violent crime has only decreased over the past 25 years and the last decade, the period when HushHush had its first run, was no exception to that overall positive trend. Interracial relationships have been increasingly common in this period as well. Hell, I wouldn't have been surprised in the least if HushHush was one of the more popular brands for interracial couples. I think provocative themes in media only serve as lightning rods for those who want to witch hunt. Violent video games didn't cause a rise in violent youth. On the contrary, as video games became increasingly realistic and increasingly graphically violent, real world violence has seen a dramatic decline. If anything, I think we could credit IR porn with at least coinciding with interracial couples on the rise. We can argue the hypothetical causal relationship of art and life all day, but there is certainly no denying the correlation or coinciding. It is no great surprise that most couples enjoy watching porn that reflects their own tastes, and many partners in interracial couples are especially appreciative of seeing similar couples in porn. Some people only like black chicks, so naturally that's the kinda porn they exclusively watch. Some only like white. Some women only like black men, and so on. If the raceplay themes in some IR is too much for you, so be it. Your entitled to your opinion and to each his or her own. Some couples may agree. Many others may not be as uptight. Many may in fact appreciate further taboo indulgence and revelry. Remember, nobody is broadcasting this taboo porn stuff in public as if to suggest cheating is cool. Even though that is a common theme in Blacked, does it mean Blacked is saying it is moral to encourage infidelity? No. It's just fantasy. Just like bestselling books about brilliant but psychotic serial killers, e.g. Silence of the Lambs. Nobody should be saying these encourage serial killing. They just make for fascinating stories to the masses. Just like porn featuring taboo themes can be particularly compelling. I personally find it kind of sick, but hey, I don't think less of the people who are fascinated by it. What do you make of shows like Dexter which portray serial killing as righteous?
