Photography 101 has not been taken by these guys who shoot porn, except for PRIVATE and clones, those dudes for some reason that I have not figured out, can't do, or are unwilling to do gonzo.

I have received a couple of replies that it costs too much money etc, but this is a total joke. A wide angle lens up close to a face distorts the facial features and looks ugly. This is basic photography.
But these so called "directors" with a bare bulb light and a hand held vidcam have about the same idea of movie making as an insurance agent strolling around the zoo. It really does not cost much to add a soft+box to the lights, back up with the wide angle to give views of the entire scene, and then shoot the close+up of the face from afar with a flattering short telephoto. Two cameras and some editing can't possibly break the budget.

They shoot upside down heads which gets the brain nauseous,
put the camera and her butt at dog eye level and leave it there, which makes the neck get a cramp. They make a mistake in thinking that erotic stoke material is all about the hours of in-and-out closeup insertion that they can capture. Every hole looks the same after awhile. If they need 4 different scenes for a flick, each will be a total clone of one another, in every way. You can set your watch by the timing.

THE TOTAL MORON PORN DIRECTOR GIVES US DISEMBODIED DICKS, PLUGGING ANONYMOUS HOLES WITH WIDE ANGLE "FACIALS". They never care to think eroticaly, but just easy acrobatics. The director needs some personal creativity that he has to go to the line with, and that may expose him or her. I think they are afraid of that and it reveals a kind of prudishness, which they will deny, but is also the center of the problem, I think.

A good example of a really bad director is Chico Wang and his "Discharges", as he calls them. He admitted in a thread here that he really does not have a perverted or pornographic mind. He is a lousey photographer, has no erotic creativity, never goes out on a personal limb, and essentially is left to imitate others, and do sequels to the material that others have paved the way for. How this dude got hired to help Anabolic/Diabolic stay above water is beyond me. Good Luck, Chico.

There was a porn series in the 70-80s called THE COLLECTION. 8mm loops that were about 5 minutes each. They had the basics of all erotic material.

They are classics.
It is very possible to do porn with a low budget but it takes some talent and brains. If you keep paying for how many different dicks can be observed pushing into one anonymous hole you will keep getting that kind of stuff.

Kahn Tusion of Anabolic gave an interview with ROG of Rogs Reviews where he described his distillation of porn as revealing a little bit of shame. I agree, with the Supreme Court of the United States in its wise opinion that while they can't describe pornography exactly they know it when the see it.
