I've been hearing little bits and pieces about Lover's Lane, Brad Armstrong's next movie. I was wondering if anyone had any info on it? I know that Devinn Lane (yay!) will be the lead. I'm interested, and I'm wondering if this will turn out to be as good as Eye of the Beholder.
Brad Armstrong's Lover's Lane is a big-budget hi-def production we shot last fall, and it stands as Devinn's biggest feature to date. It's an homage to the slasher film genre, although the script takes the genre into some interesting areas not seen in the mainstream.
In terms of the sex, Devinn has gone on record as stating that her scene with Randy Spears ranks as one of her best b/g scenes to date.
The movie is still in post-production, but I'll be back with more details as they become available.

Only 1? Damn. I remembered at least one other from the 70s. At least, I thought so.
Another title besides Temptation that is to be avoided, is Bad Girls .
p.s. I am Dr. Porn? Does that mean that Dr. Porn = Dr. Evil? Basic mathematics teaches us that in equations we can drop the equal values, so this means that Porn = Evil. Damn, those Christians were right after all.

Incidentally, there's a mainstream slasher movie that's called "Lover's Lane", at least that was the French DVD title. The main girl from "Scary Movie" had a bit role in it (Anna Faris ?), God it was so dull, and God knows I'm a slasher fan (Teri Weigel was in "Bloody Pom-Poms !). I trust Devinn's re-take can only be an improvement over it.
I'm familiar with that mainstream title as well, and I agree with your assessment of its quality. In her defense, Anna Faris (the actress from Scary Movie) has pointed out that she made that movie very early on, up in Washington State, before she'd made the decision to pursue acting as a profession.
While the plotlines are vastly different, our Lover's Lane pays homage to the slasher genre, and I hope you enjoy Brad Armstrong's take on it.
Actually, this title is available on DVD from my rental source. I can't believe it's been nearly twenty years since I saw that one. With Barbara Dare and Tracey Adams, I might need to rent it again.
Holy cow, those are two very sexual performers, I can't wait to see this one. And from what you've said, I think the name Lover's Lane is perfect. Not only does it play on Devinn's name, but conjures up something hot, sexy, and a little scary.
Yeah, it's a genre that actually will lend itself to incorporating sex scenes into the plot. I have high hopes, since it looks like a big project involving my favorite people.
But the release date is killing me. It's almost worse to know how long I have to wait. Hell, by the time it comes out, I will have already seen Revenge of the Sith (a few times), and that seems like forever away. Dammit.

I certainly understand your concern with the street date, and, as a fan myself, I feel a similar impatience over the wait for Revenge Of The Sith (as well as War Of The Worlds, Fantastic Four, Batman Begins, Hitchiker's Guide To The Galaxy, and The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe). l
The May 25th street date allows for the kind of extras-laden DVD you'd like to see from us. This is Devinn's biggest feature to date, and its getting maximum love throughout every aspect of the post-production process. I'm hoping you'll all be pleased with the end result!
Do you have any idea when the title will be up for pre-order?
I also am kind of keeping my fingers crossed that this is a double disc one. Wicked has done a good job with those so far, with Angel X and Eye of the Beholder.
I don't think Tricia's list is anywhere near complete. Some of the major studios don't even know their own release dates. (for proof try to find an upcoming releases section with specific dates and cover art on their web site.)
It must take a fair amount of effort for Tricia to get the information she does.
From what it looks like, since I haven't seen any info on it ANYWHERE, I think the release has gotten moved back. TLA usually is the best with Pre-Release stuff, but... who knows. I'm going to check there soon, and see if it's up, since the date is approaching VERY fast (like say, tomorrow).
TLA Video. I am pretty sure that AdultDVDTalk links to them if you do a price search. It isn't up there yet, so I'm guessing it got pushed back, because they have titles up, usually, a week before they come out. If not earlier.

I'm going on the record to say that Lover's Lane is in fact the best movie I've ever done. I hope you love it as much as I do and I can't wait for it to hit the streets and get out and promote it.
I've just watched the rough cut, and I'm here to say I completely concur with everything Devinn just posted above. It's really is the biggest and best thing she's ever done, and one of Brad Armstrong's finest directorial jobs ever. If you love the whole "Urban Legends/I Know What You Did Last Summer" slasher film genre, this movie is gonna rock your world. If you love excellent sex scenes, believe me, the Devinn/Randy Spears scene is going to take you straight to heaven. It's truly Stormy's finest script to date as well.
It's a brilliant film and I'm happy to also report that's we're on track to make that end-of-the-month DVD release date for all of you.
Historically, Brad Armstrong/Devinn Lane is pretty much my favorite director/star combo -- either them or Scorsese/De Niro. After just one viewing, I don't think I'd say that "Lovers Lane" is at the top of the list for their work.
For about 80 minutes, I was mildly disappointed. The sex was OK, the narrative elements decent but not exactly gripping. Then the movie blasts off.
We get Devinn out of her sheriff's uniform and into a nice black party dress, for starters. She looks fucking great. She does a great job with Randy Spears in playing an awkward sexual tension moment, then makes a believable transition from cute to ferocious.
I think the sex scene that follows is her best ever, and I've seen them all. She attacks him, but it's not dumb porno over-the-top aggressiveness, it's desire. It looks real.
One thing that helps that apparent realism is that there are some fairly long unbroken shots. Pretty much the whole beginning of the scene -- which starts at kissing and includes all the undressing and half the blowjob (which is terrific) -- is in one take. There's a couple good long segments of cowgirl that are really, really hot. It's shot mostly full-body, which I like, and it really does look like they're fucking each other more than performing for a camera. Lots of enthusiasm on both sides, and Devinn really gets her hips into it. And if I may be so crass, her ass has never looked better.
The bad news: It's Devinn's only sex scene in the movie. Overall I'd give "Lovers Lane" only a B, but that one scene is an A+ all the way.
It didn't make a huge impression on me. Kind of just a standard scene, in the back of a van, dimly lit. She looks good as always, though, and she gets a little action sequence at the end of it. She pulls off a great stunt -- falling down a hill while being chased is not that big a deal, but skillfully managing to get topless while doing it is impressive. Brava!
One of the problems with the first half of the movie is that there's too many dimly lit scenes in cars right in a row. But the story kind of demands it, so what are you going to do. The movie finishes with better scenes (IMO) by Devinn, Exotica and Ava Vincent.

Too bad about the lighting, maybe if the broke away from the "plot" and focused on sex it would be better? Was there only one scene with Jessica I thought they mentioned another scene or a bonus scene with her? Also is it a b/g scene; I thought I heard something about it being b/b/g? Thanks.
I thought it was a great feature from Wicked. I loved the whole thing it was cool to have a porn movie that had me wanting to watch the movie as well as the sex scenes. I thought it was great and Randy Spears did a great job acting and Devinn was great I hope this movie gets rewarded at the AVN awards because it was a good feature.
jessica has one scene in Lovers Lane, it is b/g. One of the bonus scenes on the disc's extras is from One Man's Obsession -- it's listed as featuring Randy Spears and Tommy Gunn, but it's really only a BJ for Tommy with Randy watching secretly. It's quite a good BJ though.
I'm Impressed (as i usually am with wicked) Devinn is very talented and i would love to follow in her footsteps some day, she is a great actress and isnt affraid to show it, great job!!
Just a warning, since I rant about it here, but once again it looks like Wicked went to Mal-Wart for some of their authoring again since they took a HD movie and once again released it in the non-anamorphic format.
