If Evan was smart, he'd be trying to get Lupe work voicing cartoons. She has one of the most distinctive, and funniest, voices ever. Her recent appearance on Howard Stern was a total crack-up; they pulled a bunch of drops from it, and every time Fred plays one, it just makes me giggle uncontrollably.
I asked her specifically when new movies were coming out when I talked to her at Exxxotica last Saturday. She said all her new scenes were going to her web site and pointed at the card on the table with the web addresses. So I guess until she decides differently it's all web. I agree. He's an eyesore and brings nothing to the table. Plus, he just doesn't get it. I remember years back I met him at an industry convention and he was trying to sell picture ops of Tera. This convention was for buyers (like video stores) and he was trying to charge the store owners $20 to take a picture with his wife. I heard her on Howard and was both surprised and disappointed that she's only doing stuff for her site. I really dig her look but the "teen" stuff is a bit creepy for me and I was looking foward to seeing doing some "regular" stuff. Still, I'm surprised by the decision to only do stuff for her site. Is that a sound business decision? I always thought it's a good idea to do some stuff for a major studio/company to get your name out there and attract some fans who probably don't know who you are or know you have a site. Is that still the case or is it possible to be just as popular and wellknown just doing a site?
IMO it's a smart business move--given the times. DVDs aren't selling, pay is down, and most porn fans today get at least some of their thrills from the internet; and join one or two performer sites. So if Lupe is going exclusive on her website she can still connect with most fans. And the big plus is the performer gets to control the scenes & acts she performs on her website--and not get ripped-off by a shady studio or producer.

Well, she was on Stern so if that isn't getting your name out there, I don't know what is. Actually it sounds like a pretty good move to me from a business standpoint. Basically she's saying, if you want to see me, pay me directly!
Evan kept on hanging at her podium throughout the show. But it won't help her if she sticks with just one source. She only had her interactive DVD and her Fleshlight tube for sale.

Watch a few of the videos that he's in and he'll be a weenie real quick with none of the shots that guys with small junk have to resort to. I`ve always thought that she was super hot and I`ve known about her since the days that she called herself Zuleidy. I wasn`t thrilled with the implants because she has such a petite frame that they stick out even more than on some others but it wouldn`t be a complete deal breaker. I`m glad that she`s staying in porn and I have no problem with her choosing to film material exclusively for her site but I certainly won`t pay 30$ for a membership unless I know what`s inside the site and the preview pages tell you nothing. Anyone can go on Stern, so that doesn't mean much. And this "strategy" of just doing scenes for her site, which I take it was done to maximize profit, is having the opposite effect and is limiting profit and visibility as no one knows what scenes are on the site without joining. Which contradicts what's been a standard policy of most sites of actually showing trailers of the content on a given site. And as mentioned previously her visibility is dramatically limited by only doing scenes for her site when she could easily be doing scenes for some of the bigger companies in the industry. And by going that route she would also make far more money. But her current "manager" doesn't want to lose control over her career so it appears he's limiting her to just her site. What happens is the Stern show has contacts with porn studios/management/bookers who are always trying to get their talent on the show. If the show needs a girl(s) for a particular bit they tell the porn booker what they plan to do and the booker sends over a list of girls names and a bit of background to the show to choose from. For example when they want to do some sort of IQ test or intelligence game they ask for girls who aren't that smart and the porn bookers send out a list of names. When the show wants girls who'll do freaky stuff the booker sends over girls who'll be willing to get freaky. Other times a girl will just end up on the show because Howard things she's good looking. Other times a girl will be on the show because she has a weird background or story. Then sometimes a girl ends up on the show because the booker/studio is putting out a big movie or just want to give on of their top girls some exposure. So it's possible you'll see/hear girls on the Stern show you've never heard of or they might have a major pornstar on. To Howard it doesn't matter because he doesn't know one from the other anyway. In the case of the show on Howard's channel "INSIDE THE PORN ACTOR'S STUDIO" the guys who work on Howard's show put that together and mostly picked girls they were really into to interview. Personally, the era of great pornstar appearances on Stern is long over. There was a time when pornstars appeared on the show it was fun and interesting because they did stuff. Nowadays, no effort is put into the girl's appearances other than to ask them to ride the SYBIAN. Plus, they have pornstars on waaaay too often. there's nothing speacial about it anymore and Howard just asks the same old stock questions.
^They are still talking about Lupe Fuentes' appearance b/c of her voice / accent. They created a game out of her appearance that they have listeners play -- whether the listener can predict if Lupe will know the answer to a question or not. This was done after her appearance. They still use her sound-bytes for sound effects, and they still talk about her in passing. I think that her exposure from that appearance was actually quite high.
^ Lupe was a big hit on the show. I have satellite radio but don't listen to Stern anymore but when I found out Lupe was on I listened to that particular show. I also have HowardTv and watched her appearance. Lupe was far and away the best pornstar appearance on the show in a long time. But it was because of Lupe not because Howard did anything particularly great.

You sound like a fan of Stern. And speculation is unnecessary because one need only examine Stern's career to see the obvious, namely that most of his career on radio has been marked by him having human train wrecks on his show for entertainment value. And occasionally he'll have some celebrities on, but his primary shtick is that of having on those who are normal people who can serve as comedic fodder for his show.
