I don't even think Maitland what's to do any gonzo style anyway. I remember in an interview her saying she turned down doing BlackedRaw because she want something more story-based. That's why they put her in Blacked. I would love to see her do more g/g, I heard she did a lot before she started doing mainstream porn. I don't understand or like the Raw series, it's camera phone porn. It's OnyFans before OnlyFans. And True Anal is just endless rough anal scenes, right? To some the pre-sex acting is important while to others they couldn't care less. I think porn will inevitably evolve and get more mainstream recognition in future. Maitland's voice could be pivotal in bringing about that revolution sooner. More cinematic erotica.
The word 'porn' as we know it is being rendered meaningless day by day. What it now means is just excessive indulgence in anything. These are good signs for those with more refined taste and those who like to think from the perspective of these great women in the industry.
I watched a sex scene from mainstream movie recently and it is so much more beautiful when a developed story precedes sex. It has more weight and hits so much harder.
Think of all the people who complain that women should not be nude since the beginning and should gradually undress. Even gonzo fans share the same sentiment. We are saying the same thing on another level.
Enjoy whatever she does now. Always a chance she could go back to mainstream work. She's clearly an Oscar caliber actress. She'd make a great Poison Ivy in Batman movies. Hopefully one day.

Blimey, I think you're being a tad over-generous there. She's a perfectly okay actress, but she's nothing outstanding. She looks good in comparison with other porn stars, who (with some exceptions) are mostly terrible at acting, but she's hardly Meryl Streep. If she was really an Oscar-calibre actress, she would have had a much more successful Hollywood career and wouldn't be messing around in porn.

She's becoming the Meryl Streep of porn and you're not giving her or porn enough credit. There have been some really great actors in porn history. But don't worry she not going back to Hollywood and if she would go back. She'll most likely be typecasted again as a pornstar or something. She could play more serious roles and maybe get in an indie movie, she could get an Oscar that way. But a big blockbuster movie? No way, after doing porn. Porn still has a stigma in Hollywood. The stigma of doing porn is the reason actors don't mess with porn. Think about it, actors could do a nonsex role in porn but you don't see actors like Scarlett Johansson showing up in Muse.
I've got nothing against with what Kayden & Maitland are doing, but that kind of erotica porn isn't my thing. It's incredible to watch but just doesn't grab me like gonzo does. I just like to see Maitland do something different with different directors, and continue with what she does with Deeper.

This is so true ... Lots of Feature movies/series have done a gonzo style. I just saw "WasteLand" for the first time and that last scene is gonzo as fuck. Kayden's style is somewhat gonzo but done more artfully. It's gonzo but with a story and bigger budget

They always look like they hate this red carpet shit. Maitland looks great and always shines on the red carpet but most of the stars look like they hate this shit. I think the red carpet runs are stupid and pointless, just like in Hollywood.
