Hi !

Here is a free gallery with the very cute Sarah BLAKE ( don't worry , the topic is not about Sarah BLAKE , it's a "general" topic about porn ) .

I find she is too much made up .... I find her not great on these pics . I saw her natural on pics and she is cuter when she is more natural .

This is what I see in many movies . There are many very cute girls , but they are not natural anymore because of the makeup and they don't look good .
Makeup is necessary to stop the light reflections on the skin and to hide pimples , ....

But this gallery is the example of what I don't like in many porn movies : the over-makeup !!!! Too much makeup kills the excitation , I find .

I admit that this gallery is not the perfect example , because there are many movies / pics where the girls have more makeup , but I have just found it , and because I love Sarah BLAKE , I find her not as great as I saw her in other free pics galleries where she was more natural .

So a little message to the companies : please keep the girls natural when you shoot them , don't over-make up them , they are more lovely when they are natural .

This is what I think , I know that there are people who prefer the girls with much makeup , but I am sure that there are many people who agree with me too .

Thanks !

I'm with you. I too prefer the war paint to be kept to a minimum.
But it's very subjective and some like a lot of make up.

Sara is wearing a bit too much in those pictures IMHO. But it could be far worse. She's still pretty.

As long as it doesn't get too bad, I can appreciate a bit of variety to suit all tastes.

Most, possibly all, of the movies I've got are just fine. But then I haven't got anything from Max Hardcore.

I agree w/ this sentiment. In some cases, you can't even recognize a person. LOL.

BTW ..I imagine make-up artists are very valued in porn and are subjects of fatasy/desire/inspiration for many porn performers.

here is something that REAL porn would have. no make-up, bad camera angles, no costumes, and a woman finishing a guy off until the end with no jerk shots. I know I just named an amatuer video company out there, but a few films like that with the big name adult film stars in it would be a unqiue experience

I hate when there is no make up artist because I dont feel sexy, if they do it right it doesnt have to be so over the top as these pics. I would gladly cut my rate by 100 if it meant I could have a make up artist.

I don't know...I'm not a woman but when you are,I guess doing your own make up is part of your life so all girls should be a prossional in the make up departement...specially when you work in the entertainment industry. To me...there's no better example of this then...Asia Carrera.Everytime, she transforms herself from a little plain looking asian to a.............GODDESS DIVA!

I hate makeup on all women. It ruins the natural beauty. The only exception is a hot glaze of lipstick

A nice bit of lipstick is great for blowjobs, the rest should be used sparingly

If you go to Asia's Carreras (assiacarrera.com) site she has her makeup routine there. It is really interesting. I saved it for future reference. She put a lot of work into that. It is a step by step, illustrated guide.

The truth is just an excuse for a lack of imagination.

Surprisingly, she is looks much cuter and younger w/o any makeup. (unless initial picture is taken years before the rest).

BTW I wonder how this make-up holds in the rain.

I think there are many actresses that are wearing too much make-up. I think that if a woman is beautiful, she will still look great without make-up. If Teagan had no make-up on, she would still look great. I think Jenna Jameson looks better with some make-up but I think she overdoes it at times. I tend to prefer women that don't have much make-up but I think that make-up adds to Trinity James's sexiness. There are exceptions to my bias against women having make-up. I think make-up can take away the indivuality of women. There are too many actresses that look the same. I think there's many men that prefer women to have minimal make-up. I don't where many women get the idea that guys prefer them to have lots of make-up. A woman friend of mine is apologetic when she doesn't have much make-up on. At Jenna Haze's Yahoo group, people were asked about how they preferred Jenna Haze to look. The results were that 61.85%
prefer The Old Cute Jenna, 5.39% prefer the The New Jenna (too much make up) and 32.76% like both.

Guys complain about mainstream actresses becoming too thin and yet women keep ruining their health. Mary-Kate Olsen Olsen is the latest example of an actress suffering from anorexia. I think that Julia Stiles looked better before she lost so much weight. There are women who have small bone structure who look good when they are thin. I prefer women not to be overweight but I don't want women to look like they are starving to death. I like women with muscle tone but I don't want them to be overly muscular.

These pictures are way more fucked up by stupid airbrushing than by make up.

I really don't mind make-up as long as it's not caked on and overdone.

There is also much of that 'natural look' that everyone loves that has been nicely enhanced with make-up.

I prefer no makeup, but if it helps the performer feel sexier and so give a better performance then some makeup isn't a bad thing.

Friends -

I think that makeup, tastefully done and expertly applied, (either by professional artists, or the girls themselves), is almost always a positive in the entertainment industry. That includes porn.

Yes, there are the fresh-scrubbed, blemish free, naturally gorgeous 18 year olds out there, that can look delectable with no enhancement, but most women, especially as they get older, seem to benefit from a little accentuatation of their natural beauty. Even if it's just an issue of self-confidence or a sense of "feeling prettier", that by itself is worth it.

Sure, anything can be overdone and look horrible, but when done right, hair and makeup can really add to a girl's appeal.

I remember how impressed I was with the look of the girls in "Azz Fest 3" . I had seen all the girls in that flick many times before, but in this production they all were especially well presented, and I attributed it to the care and attention paid to the hair, makeup and lingerie.

Jewel De'Nyle is a good example of how makeup and hair, done well, can make a naturally beautiful woman absolutely shimmer. Her boxcovers are just gorgeous.

i think make up is very important. especially when you have a make up artist there for the girl...they can come in relax sit in the chair get their hair and make up done and not have to worry. and if it is a make up artist they like then it kind of sets the vibe for that day. they get all happy and energetic.
but i do think if you want a maybe natural look or young girl look no make up or very lil make up is needed.
now to me wardrobe is very important...and someone who taught me that was jules jordan....and i think it pays off. even if just one person like bsd notices. it is more like quality control of what you are presenting your veiwer with these things

I try to keep the makeup to a minimum on all my stuff as I like to see the girl look sexy and natural. The only time I do heavier makeup if it's something for a fetish look.

oh make up - a girly topic - great!

well i like make up. i dont want to see a girl looking the same in 50 different scenes. i want her to look different in every one. so make up is important.

it also as a girl makes the worl of difference to doing a scene.

if ive been pampered for half hour before im all nice and relaxed and feel like a million dollars when i walk on set.

Kami, if it happen we ever work together, I'll make sure you have the best make up artist we can afford.

Having a competent make-up artist on the set has more effect on the visual quality of the final product than any other aspect of the image chain - and it's not just about covering pimples. Properely applied make-up makes it easier for the camera to do it's job, especially when you have to use a crappy little PD100, DVX100 or similar.

Unfortunately, it's hard to get experienced make up artist to work on porn shoots. The woman I work with (who is very open-minded) did three days on a Hustler shoot and came away saying "Never again." It wasn't just the offputting attitudes about sex, it was the overall lack of professionalism.

The magic is in the make-up. Most of these girls need it. Their are few that don't but the majority absolutely need it. I don't like when they look like clowns. It has to be tastefully done. Make-up is suppose enhance your looks not make them worse. Van STyles always has a make-up artist on set and you can see the difference in the girls appearance right off the bat. They look incredible and it's not even caked on.

thanks Tony and your right about finding decent make up artists over here, being a women does not bless you with the ability to mix colour and not everyone is creative enough to be good at it God bless the girls that are. My mother never wore it and I wasn't aloud to.
I carry myself different when I feel really sexy! if its the outfit or make up or whatever it makes me bolder. This is true of a lot of girls. You see an attitude change when they are wearing their favorite club outfit -vs-sweatclothes. I never make eye contact when I have a ball cap and sweats on. I have always been fascinated with girly girls and it took me a few years to figure this out, but if you wanna get the real sexuality out of a gal make her feel sexy!
On the flip side I understand that the non over the top look is where the market is at right now, a lot of make up artists have told me they aren't even aloud to do eye+shadow, cause natural and young is the theme.

Also scenes that I have loved doing I saw the playback on and I hated em cause my skin was so fucked up from 2 weeks of camera make up,and I'm embaressed for myself for how it looks! I really do have pretty skin now, I want a disclaimer on the DVD!

I think it is important to differentiate between make-up that is too obviously there and make-up that enhances without men realizing that it is there.
Yes, I am a guy who has been lectured about how long it takes to do the "natural" look.
A proper make-up job is like lingerie. It enhances the strong points and diminishes/hides flaws. Unlike lingerie the viewer shouldn't be conscious that it is there.

I thought Jenna Jameson was much more beautiful when she came out. In Up and Cummers , Cherry Pie , and Baby Doll she didn't wear all that vamp-ish make-up. All that mascara distracts. The implants didn't help either, as she was already large up front. Still a looker, but not as beautiful. The image helped sell her though.
