I would like to see adult movie performers be able to exchange the one-time cash payment for services rendered to a system similar to the one major league baseball players have.
Does that mean we may someday watch our favorite performers at a stadium while drinking $10.00 cups of beer?
No.
I'd just like to see talent agencies consider other benefits other than a one-time cash payment.
A defined benefit pension? A 401K pension? Health care benefits?
Adult entertainment performers need collective bargaining to reap collective benefits.
Looking to buy adult content? Reach for the union label! Support the workers!
Many young kids could care less about a pension or health care benefits when they turn 50 years old.
I saw this when I was the secretary/treasurer in our union when we bargained with our employer.
The industry is anti-union just like Wal-Mart.
It may take some time before society ever accepts sex workers in the industry and gives them the respect any human being deserves.
The industry knows this and uses it to their advantage.
Meanwhile, these young folks, with stars in their eyes, will hide in the shadows among us.

the industry can not afford those types of reforms as long a piracy and tube sites are sucking away most porn watchers from being paying customers.

Regarding piracy in the industry, my hope is the thieves are in the minority out of all consumers.
I base my hope on a simple study of the population in my small county in Michigan.
Out of 39,000 residents, less than 1,200 were suspects in animal neglect cases I investigated.
As long as good citizens out number criminals, their is hope not only for the industry but for society as well.

Not sure I have ever seen animal abuse and porn piracy linked together before.
Most people who use torrents or tube sites are generally good people who just don't care or consider the damage they are causing. I don't think that other crime stats can measure piracy one way or the other.
PS - 1200 animal neglect suspects is an alarming number in a town of 40,000. LIke, I find it hard to believe that many people are abusing animals. You should be ashamed to say this is a good statistic.

Many people are dependent on piracy because they cannot buy porn legally due to censorship.

Guys like Jules Jordan leads the campaign, he can be president, but again, it's up to the voters. If everybody wants shit for free, they can't complain about the uploadingsystem.

Sex is natural and without it none of us would be on this forum today talking. So treatment of porn stars as taboo or sin should be ceased. Women make porn because they enjoy unleashing their sexuality and men watch porn for the same reason, they enjoy watching women go wild and sexual...Porn needs to be treated as normal.
Porn is for girls who are passionate about sex and performing. So I think girls with no real attachment to sex and only doing it for the money give industry a bad name...

Venues for exhibition that are combined with mainstream. For example, an adult section on Netflix, Amazon Prime (they already sell porn on Amazon, so why not stream it?), Hulu, hardcore features on HBO, etc.

Walk in studios and stages where people can perform live sex for audience or streaming over the internet.
There is brothel like that in Portugal i think where people agree to have their sex live streamed over the internet.

I still don't understand why a really trusted director doesn't do something like a kickstarter campaign. I think enough people would pay for a good director to fulfill a very specific request.
For example, if Rocco Siffredi or someone like that asked me for $20 to see him anally pound Virgo Peridot within an inch of her life, I would pay. Why is this not a viable model?

I have no idea why some people would think that porn fans are misogynistic.

When Trump will become president he will obviously try to censor all the porn industry in the US. Dont expect the porn industry to be reformed, we can only be lucky if porn doesnt get banned by then.

I have no idea either. Some women love being pounded anally within an inch of their lives as much as some guys like doing it. There is nothing misogynistic about that, and I'm truly sorry if you've never come across such a woman. You're not concerned about women and their treatment, you're just narcissistic. Enjoy your missionary with the lights off.

^If you equate sex to pounding a woman "...to within an inch of her life", you're doing it wrong. That is the type of language used by someone who is violent and hates women. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say you're probably not a rapist, for now. Hopefully that sickness of yours stays contained inside of your head.

There should be a porn czar like a pro sports commissioner.

To be fair, it seems that many people think it's totally regular to describe sex in terms of destruction, violence, and death. I, personally, would rather not be on the verge of physical annihilation, nor am I interested in having sex that makes it difficult to walk--which I imagine would mean you have some sort of internal injury or damage that requires a visit to the ER. Nevertheless, many use this rhetoric and don't realize how it sounds.

It seems to me that he's using hyperbolic language to describe what I imagine to be very vigorous, rough anal sex. I wouldn't assume that he actually means that he would like to see a scene in which Virgo nearly dies.

Good point.People are very willing to spend money on Googles,Apples marketplace.People love Netflix and Amazon prime.People subscribe to Xbox live and Sony Playstation store. You can buy or enjoy in all those places violent movies,tv shows, games, music, apps etc.But adult entertainment is banned.I am pretty sure if big porn studios were allowed to sell their content on those plattforms then paying for adult content would be much more common. The lack of mainstream accessibility for the consumers is harming the industry.Consumers want simplicity and ease and when Google,Apple,Amazon,Sony,Microsoft don't allow it to happen then that makes it also complicated for the customer. The consumers trust those big players with their credit card details, and if buying adult content was possible on those major plattforms then the mainstream consumer would also be more willing to spend on it or would more likely have the habbit of spending money on adult entertainment, instead of opting for easy options such as tube sites.

^^Yes, I'm aware it's hyperbole. It's his choice of hyperbole that I find to be a bit sickening.

While piracy is an issue, since the majority of the porn population is male, Tube sites are a much larger issue. I'd wager that over 50% of the money is hurt by casual fans being able to snap one off at a tube site.
It's the new era .25 booth. Worse yet, most are industry controlled. As Stoya pointed out, where do you turn when studio owners own the tube sites and allow content to play?

To clarify those numbers, I kept records of every contact I made, while investigating various complaints; animal bite reports, stray dogs and cruelty to animal complaints. With each complaint, I took the name of the suspect and compiled yearly statistics. Take names and kick butt, so to speak. If those numbers caused some to assume they represented just cruelty to animal complaints, I apologize. In the past, I've posted, in this forum, photos of horses and dogs in very emaciated conditions from past complaints I've investigated. Several members said they would rather not see those terrible images. I don't do that any more.
I'll feel shame, rather than depression, when others abuse animals, when you, Canadian Cindy, feel shame for sending cold Canadian weather South of the border every winter.
