Mandingo seems to be the last of a dying breed. Before someone jumps down my throat, to make it clear, I haven't seen every male performer. I'm speaking from my personal observation.
I noticed in the last several years that male performers able to cum without jacking off is a dying breed. I could be wrong, but 15 years or more ago, I don't remember seeing such a high rate of male performers having to jack off to cum.
It makes the scene far more enjoyable to see Mandingo trying his best to not cum. He comes off as one of us regular guys and makes the scene less robotic. I don't mind if the performer ends up cumming a little too early. I would rather that than them having to jack off to cum. It's amazing to me that at his age he's still able to enjoy himself while shooting. One would think that by now he would be bored and fucking is just a job.

Maybe the performers should do what I read somewhere that Ron Jeremy said he does. He doesn't touch himself for days before a scene. I realize that sometimes that's not possible because they might have to shoot the next day, or possibly more than one in a day (which I wouldn't recommend for almost all male performers) because most males are not like females able to have multiple orgasms with relative ease, and able to keep it just as hard.
