I am a casual viewer of porn (though my wife might differ on that characterization), and had seen Marc pop up in just about every movie I had viewed. I recently found about the events of early 1998 and what this guy's lifestyle was, and was sickened. It seems quite probable that he knew beforehand of his compromised status and ignored it to continue earning income. This is the ultimate in selfishness. I base my conclusion on the advanced stage of the disease Wallice was found to have been in at the time this came to light, his evasive answers (or lack thereof) to parties making
inquiries as to what his HIV status was, and the fact he admitted that in the past he had altered a HIV test certificate to be able to work. Add to that the fact that he lived an out of control lifestyle (3 DUI's, junkie).
He's not exactly the type of person who you could count on to tell the truth in important matters.
However, on the other side of the coin, any actresses that were involved with him (or anyone else) without a condom having all types of sex was knowingly engaging in high risk behavior. I am not in anyway making excuses for Wallice though. Also, last but not least, I don't discount the responsibility of the individuals running the productions for not enforcing the testing protocol more vigorously and carefully. Apparently, one of Wallice's HIV tests listed his age as 49, the logical conclusion being that he was not present when blood was drawn for that test. There's plenty of blame and culpability to go around IMO. Hopefully, the industry will learn from this most unfortunate story. The survival of it and its members depends on it.
I know the guy is regarded as lower than dirt by the industry these days, but WTF is he doing now that he is on the outside looking in? Did he crawl into a hole? Suicide? Where is he living? Is he involved in the industry in any capacity? Just damn curious, that's all.
