I'd like to see a VHS (sorry I mentioned the V word) version just to see if the orignal was that bad or the author made it worse. My guess it was bad 16mm film multiplied by a bad transfer from film to video in which case the authors hands were really tied when it comes to making it look any better unless he has access to really high end equipment or a noise reducer, but since this is adult, I'm guessing he doesn't. Aside from the movie itself, Adam & Eve obviously put some time and effort into this DVD. The menus are pretty close to mainstream quality, a CG rendered Rennaissance (sp?) style room with papers on a table that turn into the menus. Pretty cool. And disc 2 is full of interesting bonus stuff, 6 interviews from 3 or 4 minutes to 10 or so a piece. Mark Davis, Mike Horner, Charlie, Cindy Cox, Asia Carrera and Alex Sanders. These give good insight into the people, not your typical porno questions, more of how they are as people. We could use more of these types of interviews. They might actually think of making a documentary out of them if they got a bunch more like them. It also has a 20 minute or so long feature called Anecdotes which is basically Bud Lee and Asia telling stories about making the movie intercut with footage of what they're talking about. 4-5 minutes worth of bloopers, pretty funny. Some 10 minute montage of Adam & Eve sex, kind of pointless and boring considering they never say what movies any of them are from. It's got a bunch of Adam & Eve trailers. I'll have to go back and check, it's got more I just can't remember right now. It's worth it if for no other reason than to check out the menus and the interviews. Although, I would have liked to see Raylene and Bud Lee interviewed in this style. Let me know what you think if you get it, I haven't heard of anyone else whose seen it yet. [Link] |
