The other company's that have been regularly shooting them (really not that many) don't have the same reputation as producing consistently great scenes as Mason and have a more mixed reputations. Pretty much if you wanna see a major American pornstar suck a lot of dicks and then get her face get covered in cum, Mason's scenes are your best bet. She's able to shoot some girls that you probably aren't gonna see do that anywhere else, and the resulting scene is consistently high quality. It may not be a huge market that really wants to see that but Mason pretty much has it cornered. So it makes sense on a forum that is dedicated to porn you are gonna see a lot of support among the fans of any type of scene for the director producing the best scenes of that particular type of scene. I wouldn't mind seeing a higher frequency of showcases either, but as Mason has said before, it really does take a lot of effort. However, there are some great possiblities at the moment! I've suggested Natalia Starr, Dillion Harper, Kylie Page, Megan Rain(surprised she's not had a showcase yet) Zoey Monroe, and Jynx Maze! The thing is even in those type of scenes there has also been some hot "Vanilla" action. I also enjoy the increase of Tribbing in scenes. I like that LesbianX has cornered the market on 1st G/G Anals and DP's, and makes a big deal out of them. Gaping and Squirting aren't really my thing, and the only G/G anal with toys I'm into is with Strap-ons, so I have no problem with the latest release: Abella's Lesbian DP. Abella can really take a pounding, and LesbianX is one of the few places where you get truly hard Strap-On action. Also great to see Lyra Law make her debut, hope she also gets a one on one scene. There were a few of them that threatened to cancel their Girlsway subscriptions a few months ago because she hadn't been cast enough to their liking (despite not living in LA to shoot often and still averaging a scene coming out every month), and a lot of them are very open about how she and her industry friends are the only models they follow. Sure, LX might get a little boost if they did book her for a non-gimmick scene, but she does not have the fanbase that you're going to be able to hook with the kind of content LX is putting out and keep their subscriptions unless she's booked regularly. ^^ Even though every scene outside of Tori's showcase has had some sort of gimmick (busty girls, older/younger, squirting, anal, toys/strap-on, etc.), you'd still occasionally get a scene that was vanilla within the gimmick (the aforementioned Hadley/Kylie scene being one of the best g/g scenes Mason's ever done). There's been only one scene like that released out of the last 20, and that was an older/younger scene. ^ Of course they've corned that market because for the most part, that market doesn't exist outside of b/g fans that dabble in g/g too. When's the last time you heard a primarily g/g only fan say "Oh I can't wait to see them do anal?" or even show much of an interest in scenes involving toys? There's a reason why outside of the occasional strap-on release that other g/g studios don't use toys much, if at all. LX is just g/g targeted for b/g fans (with any g/g fans that enjoy it as a bonus) at this point, and while that's fine if it's making money, it doesn't change the disappointment from my prospective when we've seen even recently that the magic is still there to create scenes that can be filmed with both audiences in mind. It is/was ass-crentric. Mason certainly knows the business. She sees there is a plethora of "vanilla" lesbian porn on the market. This is particularly true when you include Euro sites(lezkiss,fitnessrooms, sexyhub, vivthomas,etc.). What she has settled on is an often anal themed lesbian product. I think of it as a more genteel version of Jay Sin. It's just difficult for those who are familiar with her Elegant Angel offerings from the past to swallow it.
