I'm glad that Nuru Massage scene released. Ever since the list of nominees for the 2023 AVN Awards were announced, I've been trying to figure out who was missing from the Performer Of The Year award/category and why things felt off about the list of nominees. Maya was who I was thinking of. I don't think she has a chance though of winning. Not when you got Angela White, Gianna Dior, and Blake Blossom among the list of nominees. Plus there is Kenna James too. I stopped watching anything new scenes from Kenna James since the boob job (but is still in my library and I watch her scenes where she has natural boobs), but she has been everywhere the last year.
But Angela White was everywhere also and is popular and stuff among fans, so she could easily win. Gianna Dior is pretty much defending the award/category aka defending champ since she won at the 2022 AVN Awards, so she could win again. As for Blake Blossom, she is one of the fastest rising stars in a while and blew up quickly. Her fan base just keeps growing too and she has scenes releasing at a decent rate. So she could win the award. But I feel there is a name or two that could've been removed from the list of nominees so Maya could be included. I added quite a few scenes to the folder I have for Maya in the last year and since the 2022 AVN Awards. Plus she continues to become more go-to for me.
But if she were nominated, I would probably put her in the same tier as Anna Claire Clouds and Vanna Bardot when looking at the nominees and breaking them down. Anna Claire Clouds and Vanna Bardot are more like stars I want to see win but I have to root for in a "for fun" kind of way since there are other stars in the list that have a higher chance of winning or seem like the obvious winner. Angela White, Gianna Dior, Blake Blossom, and maybe Kenna James seem like the top ones that are most likely to win. So Maya wouldn't really stand a chance, but it would kind of fun to root for. Plus at least she would be nominated. So she'd be in the same tier for chances to win like Anna Claire Clouds and Vanna Bardot. Well, at least for me. Everyone has different likes and dislikes. I know there are some rooting for Aiden Ashley and Savannah Bond to win. So everyone/each person is going to rank the nominees differently.
But yeah. Maya should've been nominated for Performer Of The Year. I knew someone was missing and something felt off about the list of nominees. I don't think Maya qualifies anymore for the New Starlet category/award either, so I can't say that she should've been in that category/award as well.
