It wasn't long ago that I rented Mayhem's "Jackin' The Beanstalk" just because Persia Decarlo had a new scene in it, and according to the DVD description every girl did anal in the film, well Persia didn't. Ok so Mayhem fucked up that one time.

I just watched Mayhem's new release "New Whores 5" which features hotties like Lorena Sanchez and Aubrey Adams, here is what the description says:

"Six brand new teen cuties are stepping off the bus and jumping right into some serious ass abuse as they drop their panties and get drilled deep and hard, right up their puckering pink bungholes!"

well only 3 out of 6 girls do anal in this film, of course Aubrey and Lorena's scenes are non-anal. So beware of Mayhem lies and false advertisements. Mayhem has sucked since Skeeter left, and this was the last time I spent money on their products.

Actually, things can get even worse. Wanna example? I rented Charlie's Jailbait and I liked the blonde who's front and center.
The back covershows this cutie doing an anal scene and she's not in the movie at all. I should have figured out these guys are bozos when they ID'd Claudia Rossi as Vicki.
JM Productions isn't held in high regard and it's easy to figure out why.
If a company puts a gal on the boxcover, she should be in the movie. No excuses.
Mayhem has a few examples of being 'all anal' but having more than 1 lady skipping the backdoor boogie.
These guys just can't be trusted.

Yeah, most porn studios lie somewhat, sometimes they imply by their blurb that all the girls do anal for instance, and just one or two out of four or five actually do...

So what will it take to change that sort of fallacious behaviour? In other industries, false advertising can lead to further action which won't merely damage a company's credibility, but also their bank account. Not so here. It seems to be a case of 'caveat emptor' and that's that. Leaves us in somewhat of an impotent position, which is never a great position for a porn fan.

Reviewers like Astroknight already expose companies that pull this sort of crap, but would it help if AVN ran some articles on this? Or is there absolutely no way of changing this sort of behaviour from companies like Mayhem?

I can live with the fact that many studios claim that all the girls in a movie are teens. It's not difficult to get info on the girls age on the internet. But to say that all girls do anal and it not being the case is something different. That's false advertising and we should boycott the studios who does that.

I have a friend who does this for a living, and sadly they usually have like 2 minutes to throw together a blurb for the website, cause they just scanned like 37 box covers and have to get them all posted in an hour (which means they are not able to watch the whole movie) and often resort to just ripping whatever misprints may already be on the box- and putting that up.
I can see the frustration, however boycotting seems a little overboard..what about emailing them or calling em sometime? I bet if you are enough of a pain in the ass it might get you some free porn at the least and call attention to the problem at best.

Hope that helps.

So long as we were willing to never watch porn again, sure.

i get the feeling that the actual porn blurb writing occupies the least amount of time in their day... but i want someone who does it full time... a professional.. THEY would truly be kings among men...

I agree, in a perfect situation that would be the right thing to do -as well as making it accurate. Also women end up writing these things more often than most people think.

I never read the text on the boxcover because I know it's always little over the top. Of course this goes even further but I'm not surprised. I draw the line at fake boxcover pics.

I think AVN would need a lot of ketchup to make that hand that feeds them go down tastier.

Personally, i won't rent their crap anymore, I already told my local smut store about this too, rest assured, he will bring in less of Mayhem's movies in future. That is loss of business for Mayhem. It seems to me that they don't care about false advertisment, as long as people get suckered in. But if more people become aware of this, they will lose business.

last year I started a similar thread with respect to a New Sensation DVD, and someone from their company took enough time to come and try to explain things, they went as far as changing the false description for that DVD on their site. At least they recognized their mistake, but with Mayhem, I think this is on purpose, and so shall their business fall.

Sadly, this doesn't surprise me. I mean, this is a company when there was a moratorium on making porn when Darren James was found to be HIV+ who allegedly sent Jay Ashley (a 2nd gen quarantine risk IIRC) with Aurora Snow to make moves in Europe while Jay allegedly tried hustling the girls into performing with him telling them that he knew nothing about it. If a company wants to do and support that kind of crap, stuff like false advertising is nothing. For that reason, I avoid stuff from Mayhem / Sin City as well as Jay Ashley. At times it's too bad because they have had some darn good directors and some great talent. All it takes for bad people to succeed is for good people to not say "no".

Here's another example and this one is from Red Light District which was one of the best producers in 2004 when this title was released.

back cover of Young Tight Latinas 6.

You can clearly see where the boxcover says 'Kathleen Kruz gets hard D.P.' and 'Prilla gets rough anal.'

Neither one did anal.

Sad to say, some porn people just can't be trusted.
