When it does it is in a Salvador Dalish form like those little "type the following characters" messages where each character is a different color and in a different font you get to confirm something on some sites. Also, do you own the full version remote-control the for Media Center? I own both. My computer came with the condensed version. The full version is 1 hex better. Luckily a friend of mine who happens to own a newer version of my computer gave me the better one because they don't use Media Center. It makes things easier to use and might help to avoid such problems. Here is a scanned pic of the two of them. Full Version  Condensed Version  Another excellent alternative that's free for editing pics is Paint.Net. The head honcho is none other than Rick Brewster of the lead design team that made the Paint program which comes on all PC's. It's basically the Paint program on steroids, and very similar to Photoshop, but a little less intimidating to use. It also has the capability to add plug-ins for even more versatility which has the links for the plug-ins on the site. It also has a robust help Forum where depending on whether someone else on his development team can answer a question, he will answer. It's based on C++ and you must have Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 installed for it to work. All you have to do is try to install it and it will recognize whether or not it's installed. If not, it will redirect you to the appropriate MS webpage to download it. [Link] |

Run CCleaner or some other utility that will remove all your temp files. Removing the 'Dean Wormer file' will force an update in the file system which should correct the problem. 2. Do a full repair of your registry. 3. Copy the folder containing the photos that is causing the problem somewhere else on your drive; delete the original folder. Do NOT simply move the entire folder, as this may not correct the bad pointer in your file system. Doing a full copy will generate new pointers for the new folder; subsequently deleting the original folder will clear out the original pointers, whereupon it should be safe to move the copied folder back to the original location. 4. Do a complete defrag on your hard drive - this should mark any bad sectors Windows has failed to discover. [Link] |
