Janine, Tera, et al may have pumped up the PR machine and created icons of themselves, but Belladonna did it guerilla-style...in the streets and just being accessible to people. She is not "the untouchable ideal." On his previous LA visit, Skronk and I went to see her dance at the Speahrmint Rhino. More impressive than her routine (which I missed whilst enjoying a super lap-dance from a Penelope Cruz lookalike) was watching her iteract with the audience after her show! Its like watching a receiving line for some head-of-state! And she sits with and genuinely converses with each one as if there were no line at all!
