She will work as a freelancer starting January 1 2003. She has given 2 reasons why she didn't want to renew her contract: 1) She believed that she didn't work enough and consequently wanted to work for other people. 2) She believed that VMD wasn't creating enough publicity for her. She literally stated that she couldn't understand that VMD couldn't get her as much attention as Blue One did with their contract star (Clara Morgane). So, it is possible that Melanie Coste will work a lot more and for completely different people in the near future. However, she will hold on to 2 conditions she had negotiated with Dorcel, that will probably limit her abilities to find work with certain companies considerably: btw, I have never seen her perform in any flick, so I really can't say if she is any good to begin with. Wasnt she supposed to be the next big thing for VMD right after Laure Sinclaire retired from porn? I guess it was too big of a shoe for her too fill.
