You know it's funny. The first two films I made, the guys were hard by the time their wives got them out of their pants. That more or less corresponds with my own experience, I'm pretty much ready to go the moment I know that my wife is interested.

On an odder, but somewhat relevant note, I recall an interview a few years back where Alexa Rae (fuck, do I miss those titties) said she perferred to caress the genital area of her partners so they didn't feel insignificant when they dropped trow. Of course, the result was instant hard-on, or even a case of rubber dick, but at least the guy wasn't embarassed sporting 2" of wrinkled member, which I think was her main objective.
I think the problem with that is that 90% to 99% of all porn is really made for men. I seriously doubt most men want to watch another man's dick get hard. Funny thing is, I don't think I've ever seen it in any film directed by a female either. Also, there is almost no continuity in adult films, plus scenes are rarely filmed in a way that would allow it. The easiest way would probably be for the women to stand behind the guy (before he's hard) and have her play with him, caress, or fondle him. Seems easy to create, but I can't see it happening often, if ever.
The closest I've seen is a scene from the Masseuse with Hyapatia Lee & Randy Spears years ago. Randy's character gets embarrassed though and sits up and distracts her with story about him still being a virgin. You only see his dick starting to grow for a few seconds, then they cut-away to him suddenly sitting up. I've seen a lot of films over the years, even some handjob films, and I've never seen it captured. Almost like directors purposely edit it out, guys can't get hard naturally with the girl/girls right there, or are hard before they get there pants down. You'd think it happened all of the time, but it doesn't.
