While I appreciate the sentiment of your statement killbillvol69 - please let's be honest, it really isn't true. Most of us in the adult entertainment business have been giving stuff away for free for years. More and more stuff for free as time has gone by. When I started out we were doing TGP galleries with 10-12 smallish pictures that wouldn't sell anything these days. Then we started doing 16-20 images per gallery and the image quality started getting much better. We also started doing movie galleries with usually 4 X 30sec to 2 min downloadable video clips on them. And we worried endlessly (the affiliates and the affiliate program owners) that we were giving too much away. There was something called TGP2 for awhile that cut back on the number of pictures per gallery. Anyway, fast-forward a few years and the porn tubes arrived. At first they were nearly all totally illegal - full of ripped off material that wasn't paying any of the copyright owners anything. But it isn't as simple as that anymore. Now there are still illegal tubes, but also semi-legal tubes and totally legal tubes, which have ways of making sales for the copyright owners. Many of the semi-legal and totally legal tubes give away almost as much as the illegal tubes do. There are tubes attached to paysites. There are tubes that run legitimate affiliate programs. Companies that make porn and own paysites also own tube sites where they promote their content. I could post links here to free stuff which is "legal" using my affiliate link URLs. So the tube format has become an established marketing method for selling porn and associated adult products and services online. This was not my idea, but like I said, I make my living by marketing and selling porn. If you're an affiliate webmaster, or an affiliate program owner, or just a single paysite owner, you either have to keep up with the new trends in marketing porn online or you just give up and go do something else for a living. However, I would still encourage people to give suggestions of where to obtain porn in a paying manner, or at least a legal manner, before trying to find everything for free just because it's out there. The tube sites aren't even the worst of it (IMO). There are download forums that provide (pirated) free downloads of every adult movie the day it goes on sale, in 1080p. I find that when someone (especially someone new) comes to ADT asking for "links to free movies" this is the kind of thing they're usually asking for. "Where has someone posted a link so that I can download this movie for free?" is what they're often saying, just using fewer words. I definitely want to discourage members from sharing that type of info. [Link] |

As a source of inexpensive (or free), non-pirated content: there are a variety of webcam sites that offer original content (i.e. non-copyrighted)--usually some exhibitionist sitting in front of his web cam beating his meat. You don't get a lot of the advantages of produced porn (better production values, better looking guys, ability to repeat something you like), but there are no shortage of guys out there who like to be watched...
