Last anyone heard, he was out of the country and staying there until the USSC decided on the Three Strikes law. Since they upheld it,I don't think we'll be seeing Jake Stateside any time soon.
What does the USSC decided on the Three Strikes law have to do with him?

He was waiting for the Supreme Court to decide that Three Strikes was unconstitutional. They didn't, so he remains on the run. (Three Strikes means that, after your third felony conviction, you get a mandatory live sentence.)

Just any felony??? Can't you get a felony if your check bounces? Or spiting on the sidewalk?

I read years ago that Jake was arrested after several women came forward and testified that they were forced to film scenes at gunpoint. It's been at least three years, and I don't remember where I read it. Story went that Jake, and Bodyguard would intimidate women to get in his SUV, then force them to round out the cast of Jake Steed Productions.
Who knows if it's true, but it would have been his third strike.
I believe he is wanted on a charge that will be his third strike. (Didn't Jack Hammer go away for life on a 3rd strike?) Since Jake doesn't want to go away for life, I imagine he'll stay far away.
