^ yeah cause someone liking a photo on twitter OBVIOUSLY means they're going to have sex with the guy and share it with everyone I mean that's just the logical thing to assume from hitting 1 button on a computer...
Merper, isn't that how news start about StarA is going to work with StarB? I mean, I remember when Mia followed some guy on Twitter, people speculated they'd film together and soon after there were news about them having a new scene. It's a leap, sure, but since Mia does have 3 interracial scenes already, maybe whenever her next Pornhub video comes, it's an interracial one.

pretty sure that time she followed the guy, the guy was an established male porn star who worked for lansky so there wasn't such a stretch to make the connection
the account above is apparently some random dude in kenya who just tweets out clips from IR scenes other companies shoot and begs companies to give him a shot in the industry
pretty big difference if you ask me
if I'm wrong and suddenly a scene appears with Mia and this guy, I'll eat crow and apologize... but again, if we're going to just start posting every single like of hers on twitter and assume it means something is coming this thread is going to be absurd

^ Might want to avoid the Gabbie Carter thread if you dislike Twitter spam posting. 😆
OK, I gotta ask. How is it different to being "in the industry" if she's shooting porn by herself to make money out of it? It's like a plumber saying he's not "in the plumbing industry" but he's still a plumber. He's still doing the same thing but he's making money by himself, for himself instead of working under someone else.
Is she trying to say she's no longer affiliated with a/the big studios and messed up what she wanted to say with what she did say?
As a fan of Mia I like to be updated on what she is up to but still, I dont pay much attention to what a 20 year old woman says off the top of her head.
We'll have to agree to disagree. If she's not taking bookings or doing scenes for producers and companies and isn't represented by an agent then she's hardly part of the 'porn industry' as most of know it. I don't know where the money goes which is why I made no comment about it!
Can you explain that bit, Pitbull? She's getting paid for shooting porn, how can she be "hardly part of the 'porn industry'"? Better yet, how do you define the porn industry? Maybe I'm missing something

Just my 2 cents:
The industry has obviously evolved so much in recent years to the point that one doesn't need to be "in it" in the traditional sense of what would once have been "in it" to still be "in it"... if that makes sense
So, no, she isn't shooting for the major companies or doing professional porn work in the traditional sense.
But, by today's porn standards, with the trends being women creating their own content and posting videos on a host site for people to purchase she is very much still in the "industry" she's just not shooting professionally anymore.
There's a difference between being in an industry and being a professional. Minor-league baseball players are still in the sports industry, they just aren't professionals.
She has sex on camera knowingly and willingly then sells it for money, it's the very definition and basis of the porn industry she's just choosing not to do it professionally.

^^ Not every actor is a hollywood star as not every adult performer is a pornstar. So all the unknown cam girls in the world are 4sure doing porn but none of them are really part of the adult industry. Does that make any sense?
[Tweet is no longer available]
She seems to be pretty pissed off, is she losing too many followers or something?
^ Exactly. It's pretty clear what Mia means by the 'porn industry' to those who have followed her and this thread over the months. It's the whole circus of agents, production companies, awards ceremonies, advertising etc etc etc. What she's quite obviously saying is that she's withdrawn from all that. People are quite entitled to have a different understanding of what it means but it's pretty clear what Mia means!
If that is what she means, then she doesn't know what the porn industry is. She means she's out of the professional world but as long as she's filming herself during sex, sells it and gets paid for doing so, she's in the porn industry. It hardly matters if she's shooting for a well known company and getting paid by them or filming alone/with her friends and selling it herself.
If most her followers are interested in porn, which sounds obvious given her career choice, then it's logical that they'd be pestering her with info about her next professional scene.
^You seem to know what she is currently shooting so can you tell me what videos she has shot since the end of her contract? I ask because I checked her tweets and I see no mention of her shooting any kind of videos where she is having sex with someone else or even with herself. Watching her play Jedi Fallen Order on Twitch may be mildly interesting but it's not going to get my Lightsaber to rise.
She released 2 amateur videos on her Pornhub account since her official retirement and I believe that's the pivot of all this debate whether or not she's still part of the adult industry.
I have just read a couple of Mia's recent Twitter posts... if in fact it is her actually posting .. I find it rather disappointing that she is virtually begging for people to buy her things from some sort of wishlist .. just my view ..

Leveraging the name she made in the porn business to get people to buy her amateur sex vids puts her right back into the business she said was a huge mistake getting into.
She sure does seem to keep making the same mistakes when there is money or attention involved.

^^ If these people don't care about their money and are willing to spoil her just because she's unbelievably gorgeous who am I judge her? I'd probably do the same, hey man who can really say no to an easy life like that.
Now regarding her anger towards the porn community that is entirely unreasonable to me since she's still posting nudes and even a couple of amateur sex videos. Although I think right now she's not part of the adult industry anymore, if she really wants to disconnect her image from porn for good and establish herself as a gamer girl from now on she must stop doing this porn-like shit that she's currently doing.
Were they actual sex videos or was she just naked in them? I mean we are talking about a woman who shot less than a dozen videos during her minuscule porn career.

^ They were legit (short) amateur pov'ish videos shot on an iphone. If you search Mia Melano on P-hub I believe they're the first two videos in the list. She's trying to drive traffic to another of her social media accounts via newly shot hard clips and "posting old pics" on Twitter.
I don't think anyone really cares that she's doing it, but be honest about what you're doing, right?
I predict we'll see her in some 'different' content in 2020. It seems to me that she is exhausting whatever professional leverage she has in a not-very-profitable way.
^ Think that just about sums it up. Comes across as a really 'mixed up' kid right now. Don't know wherher she thought dabbling in porn would give her the profile to be some kind of Maitland Ward in reverse. Just comes across as a bit of a rudderless ship. I really hope those close to her are giving her support to get through this.
^&^^ I think all agree that she is a very good looking woman and I think we all agree that her actions tend to point to someone who didn't really want to do a lot of porn. Where we disagree is in her future. Maybe she will do something related to porn as some of you think but I think there is a lot more money to be made from doing stripping tours, cam shows and other curricular activities that we do not speak about in this forum and that is the route she will go down.
I'm not trying to convince you of anything Pitbull, just calling things the way I see them, that's why I asked you earlier how you define the industry, because I suspect that you and I have different definitions for it.
Let's be real here, if Mia (or anyone) wants a clean break from porn as a whole (no matter how she defines the porn industry) she would have stayed away. As long as she's shooting nudes, posting porn related content on social media or amateur porn videos and proceeds to sell it, she'll remain affiliated. with that in mind, it's not a leap to say that if/when a bigger studio wants to hire her for a scene, she'll go running.
^ You know....that will be hugely interesting and I have no idea which way she'd leap! I just hope she hasn't got a negative reputation with producers after the way things have panned out.
Again I agree with Pitbull .... after seeing things unfold more and more, I think she will head in the direction of the easiest money ... which I believe will be with different porn studios ..
I think everything depends on why her contract with Lansky wasn't renewed, how they both reacted afterwards and why there was this delay in releasing her scenes. Being a Vixen Angel may not mean much but it still shows that Lansky approved of her, yet seemingly right afterwards, he didn't renew her contract. We know Mia acted out by throwing tatrums and the proceeded to hide out for the summer (instead of hitting other studios immediately while her name was still relevant) and by the time her scenes did get released, she's been shooting amateur porn which is a bit step backwards yet shows she's willing to do porn.
It's also telling that she gets upset with strangers who push for porn info. Alienating her fans/followers isn't exactly a part of "How to stay relevant 101". I'm starting to wonder if the problem didn't start with Lansky but with Mia...
My personal opinion is that if an offer does show up, she'll grab it with both hands and shoot for a studio, however. Guess the question really is if other studios are willing to work with her, instead.
Do you really think that no other agent or producer has contacted Mia now and in the past to see if she was interested in working with them? Do you believe that only Lansky was interested? If Mia wanted to work in the porn industry than she would be. I think her actions over the last year and more recently point to someone who tried porn and didn't particularly care for it but really liked the attention and money she got from it. The problem is how do you make money from that attention without doing the things that got you noticed in the first place.

^ This.
She got massive, undue attention before actually proving herself because when she entered Lansky Land she had a look that was different than the other regulars on his sites. Her performances were underwhelming and her enthusiasm even less so but she was still pushed as a superstar with nothing to back it up. She was tied in with Greggo for FAR too long and he used the fan-favorite move of slowly releasing scenes over a long time to build hype... but she/they could never live up to expectations because of her obvious lack of interest killing the scenes. She ranted, raved, and stomped her feet before taking her ball going home only to realize that she doesn't have the looks to model professionally and apparently nobody really cares about what she does unless it's sex.
So she starts pushing people to support her, while fully clothed, on Twitch... but she can't pull that off like the other Mia did/does... so she goes back to posting sex vids and nude shots on social media. I can't judge her decision to block the dude in her photo that was linked because it lacks context, for all we know he's been hounding her about it for a week and she'd had enough. Or perhaps the stress of her life got to her head, don't know either way. But her attempt to distance herself from porn only to need porn to try and make a living on her own cannot be easy to cope with and should be addressed privately.
Then again, as I said previously, if you were really serious about being done with it all you just walk away and nuke the social media... and yet?
Mia is incapable of keeping things quiet (she gushed and raved about being flown to Europe to film a ridiculously long time before that scene was released, remember) so yeah, if another producer/studio had approached her, she would have said something by now. If anything she kept saying she'd love to work with other studios up until she threw her tantrum when Lansky didn't renew her contract.
So yeah, I really think she believed her phone would be ringing off the hook with offers the minute her contract was over and when that didn't happen on top of being let go/her contract wasn't renewed, she stomped her feet about regretting the whole thing and everything else she said yet she still does everything she can to keep her face out there. If other studios don't want to work with her, she can't force them. All she can do is shoot privately for sites or use her phone to film amateur porn and sell it online herself.
On her youtube channel she said that it's "tricky to have a healthy sexual relationship with multiple partners" and since her official exit from the adult industry it seems she's having sex on camera with the same guy.
^ Makes sense although it sort of presupposes that she always wanted to carry on developing her porn career. My impression has always been that she's never been fully committed from the start and then when she got to the end of that 'adventure' there was no plan of where to go from there. She's a sort of an Angela White......in reverse!
She was under an exclusive contract at the time. I'm talking about offers to work with other studios after her exclusive contract ended and she could legally do it.
hi Masturbator ... your comments and contributions to this ongoing conversation are appreciated .. someone posted a message Jules Jordan sent to Mia over a year ago ... we didn't see any reply if there was one .. someone mentioned she was still under contract with Lansky at the time, perhaps preventing a response .. later ... I think it was you that said "this is why she is 't shooting scenes with professional studios" ... I dont follow how the info presented explains why she is not shooting scenes with other professional studios ... maybe I am missing something ???? any further elaboration would be appreciated ... thank you ....
^ Mia's response to the tweet less than 2 hours later was 'I want to'. Under contract or not....she's not prevented from talking to other people about potential work after the contract is up. Also perhaps worth noting that Jules still follows Mia on Twitter but Mia doesn't follow him......although she still follows Lansky!
Thanks Pitbull ... so no real explaining "why she is not shooting for other professional companies" ... actually her response to Jules Jordan .seems to indicate her willingness to remain in 5he industry ... although I guess that was over a year ago now .. oh well.. the story continues I guess ....
