I think watching her cum during anal sex is quite possibly the hottest thing I've ever seen.

NO! How is this possible? Why are we losing such young talent before their prime? Has Ava Rose said anything about this (assuming she is still active)?

Last I heard from her sister she is working as a bartender or working to become one. Also heard she is doing pretty good health wise.

Well, best of luck to her. I don't know what prompted her retirement decisions, but I wish her the best. I would have liked to have seen more of her, but she knows more about herself than I do. Happy trails Mia!

This kind of sucks.
i wonder what the future holds for Ava then since they came in together.
Honestly i thought Ava would be the first to retire. But doing gonzo opposed to being a contract girl is so vastly different. It wears on you.

The glamorous "handbags, pills and shoes" lifestyle of a porn star isn't for everyone. Nor is getting pounded in the ass by a bunch of felons of uncertain sexuality. It's not to imagine why she might decide this isn't the thing for her after seeing what it's really like.

Again I ask, does anyone know the specific reason why she retired? Has her sister said anything? Did she give an interview? Was she unhappy in the business? Did she ever shhow an interest in features like Ava?
I realize it is her right to come and go. I suppose I feel sad that there is no retirement tour in porn, like they did for Kareem when he retired from the NBA. It has to be weird to simply walk away from the business and step into the non-porn world. That particular aspect of porn is not something that I have seen discussed all that often. I wonder are there support groups for former adult performers? ("Hi, My name is John Smith." "HI JOHN!" "For much of the past six years, I worked under the name Buck Naked." "HI BUCK!" "I was Steve Holmes' stand-in cock, but the man has five inches on me and everyone, well, they kept laughing. In the middle of the night, I can still hear them laughing")- just kidding around - seriously, I take the support group concept very seriously and think it would be a fabulous idea if it doesn't already exist.)
I wish Mia's real life counterpart all the best and hope she is happy, healthy and eager to live the rest of her life with renewed vigor and sense of purpose. Last, I hope she knows that she was highly regarded and will be missed by those of us who take porn seriously.

I'm personally disappointed, because I liked watching her scenes. On the other hand, I understand if she decided porn was short-term thing as opposed to a career. Hopefully she used her money wisely to get a jump-start on her future.

As much as I love porn, it's hard for me to get upset with the girls who leave the business, especially if they can do something they like better. I have to admit porn is something I personally wouldn't want to do if I was a woman. And I'm pretty open minded about such things.

Mia was one of my favorites. But if she's happier and healthier where she is now then I'm not at all disappointed. Porn should be fun so long as it stays fun. But once you grow tired, or have enough to live on, or move onto something else, then it's all good. So long as they leave a decent sized body of work behind, of course. For me to enjoy, that is. Heh heh. Muchos gracias, Mia!

I want to echo the sentiments of what has already been said in this thread. I've followed Mia since she first started out in the industry. In all of the movies I've gotten of her she exudes pure sexuality. I'm sad to see her go, but if her heart isn't into doing this anymore and she has the opportunity to better herself doing something else then who am I to argue about her choice. The industry seems to have this way of eating up people and spitting them out. So the fact Mia has survived and moved on says a lot about her. I hope all the best for Mia and hope she comes by occasionally to update us on how she is doing.

Agreed, i find it odd that people here need some detailed explanation as to why a girl decided to stop having sex with strangers for money...

No one needs detailed explanations, but a brief statement that can be sent out through the fanbase going "Guys, I'm retiring. Thanks for supporting me" is usually what most fans are asking for.
Their lives are their lives, but the way girls leave this business always makes it seem like every time they said they liked their fans and were happy to have their support it was nothing but a bald faced lie.

In many cases I suspect the decision to quit isn't a carefully planned, long drawn-out event. It's probably sudden: moving out after a fight with the boyfriend, a reconciliation with the parents and moving home, etc. I'm guessing that in a lot of these cases the agents get no warning either - one day the cell phone number is disconnected.
Not to mention that after leaving porn there's little benefit to retaining links back to the industry and probably quite a few negatives in doing so. When "Starting Over" it's best not to do it half way.

It makes you wonder about the business interests. These days, there is more than just getting paid per scene or per act. Mia's sister is a contract girl at Adam & Eve - I do not know if she had a web-site that she has ies to, is scheduled for shoots, etc., I guess I'm curious because there are very few things in life that you can walk away from. Then againh, maybe this had been in the works for sometime.

You all make it sound like she would have to break laws of physics to return. Neil Young was not writing about the porn business when he threw in the "once you're gone you can't come back" line in Hey Hey My My. Like no one in porn has ever retired and then made a comeback a year or two later.
Maybe she's gone for good and maybe she isn't. Time will tell. The only porn retirements that are absolutely, for certain, permanent are the Marc Wallace, Haley Paige, and Savannah type.

"OMFG, was it drugs or sexually transmitted disease? Clinical depression or kleptomania? Has anyone talked to her second cousin twice-removed? Did she tell Larry King why? I heard she moved to Iowa and opened an ice cream parlor!!!!"
I think it's funny how in virtually every other profession, even ones in the public eye, people can quietly retire with no fuss...
but being a pornstar, arguably the most short-term "career" move one could make next to short order cook at McDonald's and definitely not a job you want to shout from the mountain tops about if you have consciously decided to make it short-term instead of a career, entitles you to email each of your fans individually with a detailed explanation of exactly why you quit and when, do a farewell tour and send press releases about all of it to every major media outlet.
Of course, while that almost NEVER happens and almost NEVER will, porn fans will always act as if they expect it and be upset if it doesn't. They never just let anyone go without wanting to know just a little bit more about either why someone left or where they might be going.
This very obsessive nature makes it more than clear to me why most former pornstars want to sever any and all ties with their fans and give as little information as possible upon their exit. It's a very smart move if you ask me.

I would find myself at that bar quite regularly. She is soooo hot. She's still pretty young, only 21 I believe. Let her take a year off and watch her come back better than ever. Her pouty face alone makes me hard, her body was built for crazy sex and she should be displayed, filmed, chronicled and enjoyed as such.

I'm not so sure about that. Whenever a sports star retires, or a band breaks up, or a politician resigns, or a mainstream actor stops performing, there's definitely interest in the story. Then there are those "where are they now?" TV shows dedicated to dredging up the messed up life stories of various one-hit-wonders and child actors.
I can see your point, but I don't think in most cases it's obsession, or even a real desire to pry into a performer's private life. I think a lot of fans just want to know that a performer who's work they enjoyed is happy and healthy. A natural reaction if you ask me, especially if the fan has had some contact/communication with the performer, even if just through message board chat. Not that she actually owes the fans anything...

I never said there shouldn't be any interest; that much is natural, I suppose. And I guess I can see what you're saying but at the same time, mainstream media coverage and TV shows like the ones you're referring to thend to cut down on the amount of questions one might have about an athlete, musician or actor. Porn stars, unfortunately, don't have that luxury. But even with the advantage of having their lives fit for TV broadcast, I rarely see fans demanding to know where Sean Connery is, specific details as to why he's no longer acting or asking if anyone's spoken to his relatives to find out if he's in good health. There's simply not the same level of wild speculation and almost unnatural concern from fans that feel damn near entitled to such personal information.

I guess fans just get attached to porn stars....it doesn't help that the POV genre is booming.
But I disagree with you CJ. I think it is smart for porn stars to talk about why they are leaving. Many come back (look at how many porn stars are currently active who retired at one point). Fans might get annoyed with porn stars who abruptly leave.

1. That phrase isn't allowed at ADT. At least, not without significant repercussions. The phrase you want to use is actually the opposite; look it up.
I never said it was unwise for someone to talk about their reasons for leaving. But if they don't provide an explanation (hell, I'd wager they're probably isn't always a clear one...some people just want to move on and not do porn FOREVER. I know -- how dare they?) I don't feel as though I have to have their personal motivations laid out to me before I can let them go.
And? So what? Those same fans will still "love" that star and more than likely still snap up everything they're in the minute they come back should they return. The only disadvantage I can think of for a pornstar pissing off or annoying their fans is that an annoyed or pissed off fan might stalk them and try to do them bodily harm. But then again, there are the ones that "love" them that are prone to do the exact same thing, so what difference does it really make?

I wonder what the effect of her sister getting a contract and her not getting one, played in her unhappiness. That had to sting, along with all the other meanness and competitiveness from other girls and directors.

That's assuming Mia Rose even wanted a contract in the first place. Believe it or not, that's not every single performers' sole aspiration. Mia performed for a good long while after sis Ava got scooped up by Adam & Eve. Of course, I could always be wrong but somehow I doubt that sent her into a downward spiral of professional jealousy of her own sister and a severe depression that eventually led to her leaving porn.
But stranger things have happened.

Look. They do what they have to do when they're in the business. They post messages to keep people interested in them. If you enjoyed her work, you have the most valuable thing she could give you. Keep the movies she made and enjoy them and be thankful that you have them.
The bottom line is that they are paid to act like they enjoy themselves. Whether they actually do or not is anybody's guess. I'm not sure I'd want to know what some of my favorites think of me if they were really honest about it.

I mean even though porn stars are 'actors' in almost everything they do they are playing themselves. I'd say they are really more like professional wrestlers in that they have an alter ego and they have to stay 'in' character when interacting with the 'consumers' of the product. I know I've read that in the past that she has had substance abuse issue's and if she has decided she needs a career change in order to be more healthy (it’s not unheard of for ppl getting/staying sober to do this regardless of the field they are in) then anyone who is a fan should be glad to hear that. Of course there is natural curiosity, but really it is no one’s business but hers and bash ppl for not indulging your desire to ‘rubberneck’ is lame. I assume she made the judgment that retiring was the best thing for her, for whatever reason. It seems pretty lame to me for a so called fan to come out on an internet message board and question her integrity. It begs the question when you said you like 'her' was that a "bald faced lie". Of course they are not lying when they say they love their fans, all business ppl love their customers, but there is a line there. It’s ironic that ppl begrudge the performers for this (call it a prostitute attitude ect.) when in every other field it is basically considered healthy behavior. LOL, if you went to the bank or something only to find that your account manager has suddenly retired or basically was ‘no longer with the company’ would you pry further?

All I'd like 2 Say Is True(Blue)Stars Don't Die..They Just Cummmmm & Go Away!!!
None of these So Called Performers Came with Dreams Of Taking An Oscar Of Leaving Behind A Screen Legacy For There loved Ones..As Also Innumerable Fans!!
Agreed There Are Quite A Few Legends..Even Though They Did Not Become The Pillars of Porn OverNight!!! More than Star performers They Were Blessed With Thick Skins(No Pun Intended)& Acute Business Acumen 2 See Them Make A Deep Impact!!
What I Personally Feel, So long As Any Star(let)Has Shot Enough Scenes B4 Quiting There Is Little Reason 2 Weep Over Their Departure. As Long As Their Performances Are Still Freely Available They Wud Not Real Fade Away!!!
What Shud However Be Reason Of Concern Or Worry Is If A Porn Star Vanishes In to The Blue & Then Surfaces To Be Neck Deep In Crap Street..That Is A Reason For Alarm & Genuine Concern. On the Other Hand If The Babe Has Made Her Fortunes...Saturated Her Intake Capacity & Cannot Reinvent Herself As A Director Or Whatever Options That Await Behind The Camera & instead Opts To Hook, Book & Cook A Trophy Hubby..Why Shed Tears Of Remorse?
She Had The Best While It Lasted & Vanished B4 She Was Booted Out Everyone Shud Be Glad..That's How I Look At It!!!!

I didn't say that was the only reason, but there are other things that go along with her sister getting a contract, such as her sister's life is now different from hers and they don't have that bond anymore. I can remember both of them going down to LA Direct together (pre Ava's contract) to resolve an issue. They were a team and the contract definitely divided them and put Ava at the top of the heap. In porn, having a contract with a major company is indeed a big deal no matter how much posters here despise it. Besides, Ava was also getting requests to shoot with Suze, etc way before Mia. Even in competitive sports, its a tough road for a younger sibling of a superstar.
