Almost all people that do porn want money but some are real exhibitionists too. Especially when looking at people that started doing porn in their 20s or later I know of several that did exhibionistic and edgy stuff (sex clubs, public sex/nudity, etc) for their own enjoyment for free before going pro. Perhaps Mikaela was being genuine in the interviews, perhaps she wasn't. We can only speculate.

However based on the interviews, Mikaela is also fighting some demons. I know of people in similar situations that genuinely thrive in adult work but also people that crashed and burned. I really hope she can avoid ending up in the latter group.
