Someone earlier mentioned that Mike's movies are in large part about gratifying Mike... that's what every series featuring a single male actor is like, at least in part, that's part of the draw of series like that. I don't see a problem with that, IMO, it makes me feel like I could potentially save a few hundred thousand, start a production company, and do the same thing. I never will but it adds to the 'fantasy' for me. There are lots of great directors that prefer to stay behind the scenes... or at least in fewer scenes like Jules Jordan lol. Must be hard to resist the temptation as even if you're not quite as big, like Darkko or Kevin Moore or Silvera, people will still buy the hell out of your stuff if it's shot well. [Link]
