As I saw that Garret, the supposedly new editor of Mike's movies, is browsing this thread sometimes, I just wanted to give me tips as well. I notice that I still check out the new Evil Angel stuff (ass i am a subscriber) but sometimes when I'm very much 'in the mood', I will go for the older stuff. Movies from the beginning of Mike's EA carreer are a sure thing, most of them are filled with the best of the best scenes, each and everyone of them. Movies like American Anal Sluts, Anal Overdose (1&2), California Anal Sluts and a couple of others im forgetting right now. If tried to figure out what exactly went wrong as the quantity increased over the years, but my excitement for the scenes slowly went down. The first aspect is surely (as was pointed out before by others) the editing which went downhill. In the old scenes it seemed like there was almost no editing at all, it was just one long take. Sometimes Mike would cum a bit early or they had to adjust a bit for the position or whatever, those kind of things (little imperfections) give the scene extra realism and to me actually make the scene better. I get the feeling that nowadays scenes are overedited to make them a bit to 'perfect', but the side effect of that is that there is no spontanaity (¿) anymore. Another sideeffect is that all scenes start to feel like they follow the same discourse, the same schedule. The same questions in the beginning, then some showing off the body, bit of fondeling, some BJ, then the sex in different positions and then a cumshot in the face (almost all of the latest movies have this same schedule). Although this was also the fact in the previous movies, it feels more natural. More like "ok youve blown me enough, i want to fuck you know!", nowadays it feels more "ok we have 20min of BJ footage, now we do 25min sex footage". The second aspect is (imo) it feels like Mike has lost his excitement a little bit, it seems like it has become more and more of chore for him, a kind of 'lets get this over with'. While in the earlier scenes one of the things that made them super hot (for me) was to see how much Mike wanted to fuck the girls. He couldn't keep his hands of them, he wanted to kiss them and feel their asses, tits and their bodies. He was stroking his cock non-stop and his face (the few moments we got a glimpse of it) was pure bliss of fucking a super hot pornstar. It is not that he lost his 'mojo' or anything, I think it's more the attitude. In the beginning he maybe felt a bit more lucky or blessed to be able to have sex with these kind of girls and making a pornflick was secundary, while now hes more busy with delivering a quality porn movie (you can hear him say more about the angles, or the camera or the dirty talk) and not cumming to early then with enjoying himself and having sex with super hot girls. Now it is true that the earlier movies had this kind of 'discourse' as well, but it just felt less planned out. It was also a bit more fun, there was some other guy asking some goofy questions making the girls laugh, the girls were giggeling, it was all pleasure and excitement. Now it feels like they are filling in a questionaire or something "age" , "where from" , etc. The third aspect is i think that the camera is more 'zoomed out'. You should just check American Anal Sluts and make notes on everything, as its one of the best porn flicks ive ever seen in my life. You can see the camera is more dynamic, it moves more, its more up close. Also some scenes start outside on a balcony or on a parking lot or whatever, this makes a huge difference as it just breaks up the repetiteveness of the locations a bit. In some of the later movies the girls all start on the same bench, in the same position on the same location,etc. I think that the recent movies are very good, the quality of the video, the hotness of the girls, its all outstanding and on point, but the above points just kind of break the whole fantasy a bit for me, which is in the end the most important goal of a porn flick, to catch some of the excitement and hornyness that we crave for. Because its a bit of waste that the last movies were full of hot girls and you probably have a ton of great video material lying around, I would kindly ask to maybe do an 'Improved' version of the scenes with the most potential of the last 10 films e.g. Why not just take the hottest girls, the 'already' best scenes of the last couple of months and rework the whole thing with the comments of the users here in mind. The people here are obviously very passionate about Mike's movies (otherwise we wouldnt post about them), so all the other people that also watch the films will probably agree with most things that are being said here (seeing that we already kind of agree with each other anyway) and will thus appreciate such a movie. You could practice a bit first by trying to copy the editing style of American Anal Sluts/Anal Overdose/California Anal Girls/older Bangbros scenes/etc. so as to get a feel for it. Yes this will be a bit more work in the short run, but in the long run you will probably develop an even greater style yourself as you now have your own concepts about editing, but will add the concepts used by the other editors. I hope this text is not to long and is to value for someone in the industry. KR.
