You can't mess up a title like Down the Hatch if you just do it like he did. The title now sells itself. And it was the same way at RLD. They were the best company I've ever seen in porn and it's too bad every one of those guys didn't find a permanent home there. There were a powerhouse. Erik was doing the best work of his life and Tim Von Swine is probably the most underrated director in all of porn. Von Swine is now a great porn director. All those guys are the top notch guys in porn and it seems Mike was the major influence there just like at Anabolic. And the top guy deserves to be financially rewarded. They made the company what it was. And if the titles stay the company will stay strong if they do them the same way these guys did them. (But that's easier said than done.) If Mike and the guys take their titles with them it won't matter at all. If the titles stay at RLD all these guys will just create new series that will be just as strong as the old ones. The talent makes the company, the company doesn't make the talent. These guys won't need any luck because any company will be lucky to get them. It's too bad they couldn't all stay together but they gotta do what they gotta do. And just from talking to them at the convention a few times, although I missed the last two, you can tell these are good guys. These guys ain't prima donnas. Mike John and Tim are still gonna be making the best vids in porn where ever they go and Erik will be great at Evil Angel. But you gotta wish that RLD didn't lose these guys from the team and don't lose any more. It'll be RLD's loss and not ours. These guys will continue to make great porn. [Link] |

I also think a major element to his success was and is Erik Everhard performing in his scenes. They worked together so long,each one played off one another well to complete steller scenes. [Link] |

A few comments made worry me.1st is his concept line he said he would produce called the Gauntlet.This concept of a girl walking in different rooms with a new sexual suprise is more artistic than Gonzo hardcore to me and indeed sounds like a hybrid feature mixed with Gonzo.Chopping off guys heads in a scene also sounds kind of corny. Personally,Vince is best at gritty hardcore gonzo like Breakin em in,Choke it down,and from her Ass to her mouth.He says that it will be hardcore,but a comment which his new partner made clearly stated in a press release,that him and Vince have an understanding not to degrade women on film. Now of course the term degrading is subjective when it comes to Porno,but I hope we are not seeing a Hustler Video and Mason deal that did not see eye to eye all over again.Regardless,it will be interesting to see what all these ex-directors produce in there post RLD era. There names alone will get a look from the fans of gutter hardcore. [Link] |
