Well, the term 'Granny Porn' is awful! But I think it great that mature women in their fifties, sixties and even older can be shown looking sexy and glamorous, having sex in front of the camera. To some extent it reflects trends in real life where quite a lot of women of that age group are more sexually adventurous than ever before. They've no intention of growing old gracefully. What motivates them to do porn? Well money is a factor, but no more than younger performers. I'd think in both cases, exhibitionism and a liking to be a centre of attention counts a lot too. Which is how you get the acclaim of many fans. I love the Score Group's MILF mags and movies where the women are professionally made-up and photographed and then placed in raunchy scenes and readers let them know how smitten they are.
I'm a little late to your comment, but I concur with your thoughts on why older women go into porn.
I don't even think money is much of a factor for these older women. They know they are likely not going to be doing hundreds of scenes. I don't think they are going to be booked at strip clubs. Of course, there's the current fiftysomething Andi James who's been piling up a bunch of scenes the last few years. Her stunning looks make her a bit of an exception.
The desire to still be sexual, to be the center of attention and the lack of inhibitions over the years all play into why older women enter the porn business.
I'd say that for some of them more than the desire to stil be sexual is the desire to finally express their own sexuality. I've read many interviews of mature women saying how for a long time they were doing a very boring, conservative life and at a certain point (sometimes after a divorce) they just decided that they wanted to finally enjoy themselves. And while I think that no one of them dislike money, I agree that for a lot of them it's not the first or even the second reason they're doing this. The of course, there are those like Mrs. Robinson who are there only for the money (it seems that she basically does not even have a sexual life in real life and she's not even interested in having one) but I feel she's more an exception actually.
Funny thing, I've noticed that quite a few older porn performers will mention that they were active in swing clubs and then migrated over to doing porn. "After a divorce" is an interesting observation. Some of these women, if you accept their narrative at face value, were good girls who got married young, raised children and then after a divorce were very open sexually.
As an older man, it doesn't surprise me. Many of the single females my age and older are quite open about their sexuality. I'm not saying they are all out carousing for easy hook-ups. I will just say if they are attracted to a man young or mature they will be very forthright about what they want.

Mild is an entirely different story. A woman doesn't have to be that old to be a milf, just a mature adult as opposed to the teen starlets. It does seem to be true that quite a few women from conservative backgrounds later realise what they missed out on when young, and then become sexually adventurous and perhaps show off a previously suppressed exhibitionist side even if they don't go on to be regular pornstars.
