Brazzers also recently released just their first all-IR DVD, and it was their top selling release that month. While Brazzers is bigger and more popular than BangBros, they are also dropping more dramatically in ranking, same with RealityKings and NaughtyAmerica, while BangBros is more consistent. I think BangBros can owe a bit of that to diversity. True, both Brazzers and Bangbros are declining, but Bangbros is not dropping as sharply. Let's not forget Vivid's top selling video of all time was an IR release, the watershed moment in amateur porn. Kim Kardashian's sex tape. You want to talk about a paradigm shift? Jules is a smart dude, definitely one of the smartest in the game. And he understands the relevance of more than just catering to vanilla. I have to agree with a lot of stuff that's been written about IR in here lately. I will say that i think the number of followers a performer has on social media is irrelevant, followers on social media don't pay the bills. In saying that i do understand where you were going with that (more fans, more sales). To be honest...I don't get IR porn Maybe because I am not American but I do not get the 'white chick/black dick' thing. I mean it's just skin colour. I see the difference between vag and anal porn but where is the difference between white male/black male partner. That beats me.
I don't get every interest either. Like anal. I approve it and it doesn't ruin a scene for me or anything. But a lot of fans out there don't like anything but anal. You are talking about me . Back to IR. Hope there is no misunderstanding. Don't have any problem with IR or black male/female performer. Just don't understand why IR porn is such a big deal to many people. For example: girl has 200 lame ass (IMO) vag-only scenes under her belt. ^From my experience it can be difficult for people to express exactly why they have certain sexual interests let alone doing it in a way that another person understands. i.e. why I am an 'ass man' and my friend might be a 'breast man'. But to be honest, additional discussion or further questions about it may be something best left to a separate thread. I absolutely second this. I don't get it either. I remember Ash Hollywood said in an interview that she didn't know IR was an actual thing. I think it's more a marketing thing than racism, but still, there's something that doesn't feel right in 2015.
I think it can be for different reasons for different people. But part of it must be the cultural/historical angle, and the social stigmas associated with it. Taboo always adds appeal. For most people it isn't a taboo anymore I think, not publicly. But privately a lot of folks do oppose it. Hell, just in 2000, there was a vote in Georgia to overturn some old ban on interracial marriage. Even though it had been made legal for a long time already, 47% of the vote was still against removing the ban officially. And that was just a formality more than anything. That's not reflective of the whole country, but rather a regional/cultural and historical thing. But there is bias everywhere. Even though most of us aren't bothered by it, the fact that so many people are formally opposed sort of makes it more special. It wasn't even a lifetime ago that men were being lynched for this. Not even for IR intimate relations, but just to even flirt with a white woman. It's also not just bigoted white folks. There are black folks who oppose it too. But while most people don't oppose it formally, and I think those who do mostly don't necessarily feel opposed to it out of hatred (maybe I'm just naive here), there's still a taboo associated with it. I actually know a guy whose family practically threatened to disown him if he got involved with a black female. Plus there is the visual impact of striking contrast that people like. What you paraphrase, suggesting to be how people think of the appeal of IR, is only another angle. Some people do think it's extra "nasty" and they probably like Dogfart and seedier fare like that. Gangbangs and trashy stuff, I guess it makes it edgier. That doesn't just apply to IR either. There's lots of "white trash" style porn. Lord knows there's tons of that. I don't really go in for that, but like I said, to each their own.
America is a fucked up place dude, trust me.
