Hello all. I just finished writing my first review here--Please Play Hard with Me from Elegant Angel. An interesting experience--writing a review while watching an adult video. In one sense, it made me enjoy what I was watching more, but in another, I enjoyed it less. Very curious.

Nice review and lots of details for each scene.
I don’t know if you have read BIGMikes thread where a lot of members gave him some feedback on what they like and appreciate in reviews. Here is a link to his thread. It runs about five pages now, but the first three is where most of the feedback is located.
I’m not saying copy his style, because I enjoy many of the different styles that have been created by reviewers, but there are several feedback comments that may help.
I know some reviewers, myself included, simply sit and watch the movie the first time to enjoy it and get a feel for it. Then they go through a second time with pencil and paper to make their comments.
MLyons: I'd have to say, visually it looks great, you went into great detail about the film, the review is easy to peruse through to find what you are looking for, you covered the DVD quality, I'd have to say it's a winner.
I haven't yet read through it all, but the layout is easy to follow.

Yeah, that can happen. I just submitted a review a few minutes ago, the first one for me in 2 weeks. I had to take a break from reviewing, because porn was starting to get less fun to watch/review.
I think that feedback is the most important way of getting to know if reviews are great, or if they suck. I take all comments, questions, or complaints seriously, and try to work on improvement.
I am even going back to reword/edit some of my reviews, of course the ones that I still own.
Hey--thanks everyone for the replies and the info. I read the thread about BIGMike's reviews and will try to take those comments into account if and when I do another one. I noticed that some people didn't like the idea of play by play scene description. As someone who reads reviews, I really enjoyed that aspect of the reviews I read (most noteably from Gabriel Nine) so that's why I incorporated it. And then of course, what fun is doing a review at all if you can't give your own personal thoughts about the scenes. It's very important to me, though, to be respectful and informative when I give my opinions, because as sure as the sun sets in the west most people will have different opinions than mine. :) Hopefully they'll still be able to make an informed choice.
Snowman -- yeah the name Kitty Yung surely rings a bell. Again, I'm not a huge asian follower, so I didn't know. Thanks for the info, though.

BIGmikes was just for some comments that people have made to another person.
Create your own style that you’re comfortable with. You have already received some complimentary comments on your review, and your style.
