Does any studio make modern day versions of films like "The Cheerleaders" (1973), "Private School" (1983), or "Gas Pump Girls" (1979)? Some of my favorite parts are extended full body nude camera shots, genuine efforts to have interesting wardrobes and environments, storylines that although campy, really commit to themes like cheerleaders or schoolgirls instead of just quickly stripping women and loosing all visual display of characters' roles played (e.g., keep the schoolgirl attire on while showing nudity). I prefer softcore because I find more time is spent developing the character roles the women play (adding to their appeal), and story settings, rather than just interchangeable minimal context scenes found in many hardcore films. Are such films no longer made or are they still being created?

70s classic features on those themes spend more time on setup and character, often moreso than the softcore comedies of the 70s and 80s.

I have a few suggestions.

One of the classics that Black Six mentioned would be something like Little Girls Blue (1978) and maybe the sequel.

Fast forward about 30 years, a director named Gazzman directed some of those Young Harlots films.

Check out some of these titles then let us know what you thought of them.

Good luck!

Thanks BlackSix and T0MBOne, sounds cool. I'll check out some titles based on your advice. Something related I found was networks like Showtime provide new softcore film access, e.g., Sexorcist (2019), Erotic Emergency (2020), Love in the Digital Age (2018), and Erotic Manuscript (2019). Those are better than most with character building and stories, but a different vibe than the ones I cited from '70s and '80s. I do not know that ones like those are really made anymore.

Maybe I'm nit picking here, but differences with the older movies, IMO, include the older movies casting all natural girl-next-door women, adding someone one would meet in real life appeal. These days often films have stars and their exclusive scenes but in the past there were groups of ladies all acting together (in matching attire) in wide camera shots, less focused on just single stars. Also, it seems to me the older ones had more full body impromptu roaming around nude shots. In newer movies it seems particularly choreographed where women to a preset routine list of positions, which is a bit predicable.

I found some older films have been upscaled and released on blu-ray which may be worth checking out. If I find any more that have the older style I'll try to post them.

I had to give it a bit more thought before I could suggest specific titles, one that comes to mind because you mention Gas Pump Girls is Taxi Girls, recently released on blu, and Hot and Saucy Pizza Girls, released on DVD also by Vinegar Syndrome.

And in terms of softcore one of my all time favourites is Radley Metzger's Therese and Isabelle although last O looked it was hard to locate the DVD for a reasonable price.

There are lots more but I have to give it more thought so I'm recommended the best.

Oops, forgot you were looking for group films, Therese and Isabelle, as the name suggests, is about a duo.
