I guess that the companies will make the most money, as they are the ones that risk making a loss if the title doesn't sell. Is this right? This usually means that after the COMPANY has made back the cost of funding the production (plus "reasonable" publicity and marketing expenses), they will be sharing all revenue for the production with the Producer/Director on a variable scale. After the term of the contract or "license" expires, the Producer/Director can re-release the production under a different company label should they choose to do so.
