In cruising the local smut emporiums and looking at the release schedules here and at Excalibur, there doesn't seem to be too much new product coming out of the end of the pipe. The New Release shelves in my porn stores are filled with old stuff, amateur stuff and compilations. Is anybody else seeing this? Will it be fall before the flow ramps back up? I know people are shooting now, so this shouldn't last too long. BSD [Link] |

So when I go a long time without seeing much new in the genres that I like, or from the specific actesses that I like, it's noticeable. And like you guys, I certainly wouldn't even attempt to keep track of all that is new. It's just a feeling that I get that volume is down. Here in San Diego, we're not far from the San Fernando Valley Ground Zero of the Porn World, and we usually get the product pretty fast after release, and even the store operators here have commented on things slowing. Sure, this isn't true for everyone, but sales do go down dramatically during the summer, so it's just not worth it to release tons of titles if they're not going to sell well. I must have like 700 titles in my que tha I want to see. I doubt I'll ever see all of them but they just keep coming out. And I don't watch every studio, maybe 6 of them at the most.
