Is there a new trend that more and more girls are taking part in S&M movies? After checking out kink.com all diffrent sites and chantasbitches.com , I'm surprised at how many "mainstream girls" I saw Katja Kassin, Sandra Romain (well that didn't surprise me that much), Cindy Crawford, Lorelei Lee, Annie Cruz, Harmony, Tory Lane, Gia Paloma, Marie Luv... just to name a few I was so surprised, I expected that I wouldn't recognize so many of the girls, that there would be a lot more models that works exclusively with S&M I hope they get a lot of $$$ for doing it, because it does seem painful for the sub girls.. Is it an upcoming trend that more and more mainstream girls do S&M?, or has it always been like this. (I've never been in to BDSM really, the number one thing I like about it is all the dirty talk, I especially love watching Sandra Romain's scene's scenes because It's more fun to hear her dominate girls than just moaning on and on)
I've got subs to most of the kink.com sites as well as Fuckingdungeon and fuckedandbound. I tend to agree that BDSM sites are starting to gain in popularity and, as such, it's only natural to see more of the established porners enter the scene. I've seen the likes of Ginger Lee, Paulina James, McKenzee Miles, etc on the sites now....not too long ago, all you'd see were a handful of regulars. I'm not entirely sure I enjoy this trend, however. BDSM, unlike straight porn, requires a fairly difficult to fake "edge" to it. You want to see marks left on the subs skin from the flog. You want to see fear in her eyes during certain acts. And to be perfectly blunt, most of the porn stars just aren't good enough actresses to pull this off convincingly. Either a woman is truly submissive or she's not. While I find it easy to suspend disbelief and go with the fantasy in normal porn, it's harder to do this with BDSM porn. Yes, all girls wiggle and squirm when tied up. Some cry out convincingly. A few actually play the role of sub properly. Others have a tendancy to try to "act submissive" but just don't know how. Now to be fair...this is as much an issue on the Dom side as well as the sub side. Some of these sites use good Dom's, men who either play the part well or are geniunely skilled Doms in their personal lives. Others just 'rough up the girl' and don't seem to know what they are doing at all. Bad Dom = hard to be a good sub. But all that said, I enjoyed watching the early days of BDSM when it was still pretty taboo to sell it on the 'net. BDSM+full penetration is still a relatively risky venture, although S&S.com seems to avoid the obvious obscenity stuff by including the interviews with the vids to prove that it's play-acting and not real BDSM/Torture sex. And to the few performers who seem to be very good at acting (or maybe you really are subs in your private lives), thanks for entering the scene! I'm not new to this. I did a lot of bondage and fetish work back in Europe from 2000-2003 before I even started porn. I never got paid extra because of the nature of the shoot. They just pay the regular rate for the scene like g/g or b/g anal.

^ What? that sounds weird. How rude of the fetish producers to only pay the normal rates, I mean fetish work (especially for the subs) seems a lot more harsh than just a normal scene. I think you girls should get payed more. In the fetish scenes you've taking part in have you always been a sub or have you tried to dominate other people too? It's been the case for afew years now. All the kink.com sites have a list of rules that make their shoots alot tamer than most gonzo (though it does'nt look like it) and they use condoms always. Plus alot of fetish work they could probably (i'm not totally sure) do while waiting for a test to come back or infection to clear.
awhile back there was a link on this forum to some site that had Presley Maddox tied up and pounded pretty good with a black ball gag in her mouth, (pretty mild overall, though) I'd like to see more of those type of scenes.
I'd expect that most bdsm-stuff would be considered milder and easier to perform than regular boy-girl. It's not as if most of it is particularly extreme with regards to pain. I'd also expect that most performers would consider bdsm less intimate than "real sex" and less of an issue in off-screen relationships.

Most BDSM porn bores me, and I'm very into it in real life (active for 11 years in my local community, have had my current sub for 7 years, have taught classes at conventions, etc.). For real-life practitioners, much of the thrill of watching others do BDSM stuff lies in the interactions between the participants. I have seen real-life play where the woman is very attractive, but boring to watch. I have also seen scenes where the woman is not attractive at all, but her responses are VERY interesting. Mainstream porn stars who do BDSM scenes usually treat them like regular porn. It's easy to spot the faked responses. The things they are doing may look extreme to those who aren't into BDSM, but are often remarkably tame if you know much about it in real life. There are some exceptions, of course, and much of the amateur stuff is not faked. Ultimately, though, if I want to see fake "oohs" and "aahs," I'll stick to mainstream porn.
Couldn't have said it better. I don't think this is the kind of thing that can really be faked. And I really am not sure they should try. BDSM is a whole different ballgame. We've got people who act like girls are being raped when they're just having a bit of rough sex WITHOUT their hands and feet being bound. BDSM is really best left to people who are really, undeniably into it. And I'm not sure how you'd know with a mainstream porn actress.

Anyone who is into it can spot fakery a mile away, too. I can tell from watching the force of a swing and listening to the sound of the pop on the butt if the audio has been edited, even.
