The exact number of chapters will depend upon the nature of the scenes and sex I think.

There should be a chapter stop at the very beginning of each new scene of course. (Some DVD's from other studios actually don't do this, but start somewhat later into them. Really irritating.)

Then there should be a chapter break where the sex first starts or starts getting hot. Then another one or two for your fetish menus - when anal begins , and for just before the cum shot. Actually, I think the fetish menu stops should in each case be just before the fetish activity occurs, so you get it's initiation down well.

But I don't think there should be more than three or four chapter stops per scene. As little as two (beginning and the sex first heats up) could be good too.

60 does seem like too many to me. The reason why is that it makes it kinda difficult to chapter jump from say scene one to the next one you really liked, say scene 4, without going out to the chapter menu, but only using the chapter button (which is much faster).

I tend to like best somewhere between about 12 and 25 or so chapter stops. With your fetish menu approach it will be at the higher side for you guys. Probably not more than 30 at most. (I don't use the fetish menus per se much at all, but others do I know, so I wouldn't suggest changing it..) What I do use is jumping forward to the next hot bit.

Only as many as 30 if you had something like as many as 8 or10 different scenes on the DVD. Again, the yardstick of between 2 and 4 per scene (or I guess 5 but that's pushing it) is really the better way of looking at it. Any more and it gets to be a pain to jump forward a couple of scenes just using the chapter button, without going out to the main menu.

I was watching a Seymore Butts DVD, it has over 40 chapters, now this might be a little on the extreme side, but you can skip the stuff you don't want to see, and go to the stuff you do want to see, without missing anything good.

Though with Evil Angel, there's not much you would want to miss.

Since we identify the chapter numbers that start each scene, if you take a peek at the chapter menus once before you start looking at the movie, you will be able to see where the start of each scene is, and you can quickly skip a scene that you may not like at all.

Finally, this is a necessary step for us to start taking the fetish menu DIRECTLY from the encode of the movie. Right now, most of our titles have the fetish menu clips as being encoded separately. This takes up a lot of room on the disc, so we can't have a very big fetish menu. If we take it right from the movie encode, no extra space is used, which leaves space for a much higher quality picture as well as some more bonus footage.

Does that help explain why we did it? And is it enough of a reason for you as a consumer to put up with the extra chapters?
