The pixellation will get better after a few more DVDs. They needed to get better video capturing software, which has been ordered.
As for the reverse search and freeze frame issues, I have asked them to look into it.

| Diesel Member  516 Posts 3/00 |  Posted - Jul 25 2000 : 12:52AMWhile I appreciate Evil Angel going back to remaster some of their earlier problem DVDs, I am afraid that some recent releases still exhibit annoying, albeit different problems. BUTTMAN'S ANAL SHOW has chapter stop difficulties: you cannot reverse search past the beginning of a chapter stop; the movie freezes, then goes into "play" mode. Also, there are freeze frame pauses between chapters (also evident on some chapters in DROP SEX) as if the disc were undergoing a layer change (which was NOT the case, unless it was going through 9 layer changes). Also, there is some severe pixellation in the animated chapter selection menus. While this is only a minor annoyance, it shows that work needs to be done before future DVDs are released. By the way, I own a high end SONY DVD player, as well as a mid-level PANASONIC. The problems showed up on both transports. If anyone can verify these problems, please let me know that I am not the only one. [Link] |

It has been corrected and will no longer be a problem on future DVDs. Sorry I can't do anything to help with the VIVID problem! BTW- Voyeur 2 had the problem, but it will be corrected along with the real reason for the recall that is starting today. (Video reference problem in the last chapter.) Thanks again, Tricia Email me, Diesel, and I'll send you a free DVD for helping us find this problem. (Just to let you know, when it's time for us to reorder more Buttman's Anal Show and Buttman's European Vacation 1 discs, the chapter stop problem will also be fixed.
