The first section is quite purposefully light and gentle, the second section certainly gets dark but it feels very much like a S&M fantasy, originally when I saw it the anal fisting was missing, the restored version available on exploitation.tv is more effective with it included. Overall it is the artfulness of the film, the clearly intended contrast between the two sections and the Anger-ish collage techniques makes it less disturbing to me than something like Davian's APPOINTMENT WITH AGONY which due to its blunt primitivism is something like what Stephen Thrower once referred to rape loops as: the 'degree zero' of misogyny. As it stands it is almost charming. In terms of nastiness I would rate Forced Entry, Sex Wish, Waterpower and Femmes De Sade as tops. They all deal with the sex maniac on the loose storyline. For films that deal with the highly charged question of sexuality for the mentally disabled or 'simple,' Nothing to Hide has a classic, impressively touching scene between Pacheco and Tigr performing as simple people. It could have been a disaster but is one of my favourite sex scenes in feature porn. In contrast One Page of Love with the supercute Gena Lee and Nancy Hoffman deals overtly with the darker issue of the sexual exploitation of a simple woman. It is a certainly interesting film and ends on quite a creepy note. The director Peter Balakoff shot several underrated and surpringly thoughtful xxx melodramas.
