I'm looking for a softcore film/series from the 70s or 80s that I believe was titled Paris Nights. I think I saw it shown on Playboy TV.

There were big name actors or porn stars but it was a collection of vignettes set in Paris in the 1800s (at least the episode I saw was)

Does anyone remember this and know if it's available? Is there any other information I can provide? I saw this a long time ago and it may be hard to remember much more detail.

-Can you remember at least the name of 1 actor/porn star?
-Was it an American or European series?
-Is the length of one episode about 30 minutes or longer?

I can't remember any of the actresses. I think it's European (British?) but that may be a false assumption.

It looked like it cost more to produce than porn of the same era. It was tongue in cheek in it's story telling. I believe each episode was either 30 minutes or 60 minutes.

One of the episodes was an overweight man travelling into Paris with his wife to visit his brother. Turns out his brother owns a brothel that the brother never finds out about but his wife does.

This kind of story and atmosphere really reminds me of a program I watched a few years ago, although I can't remember this episode in particular.

They played it on French TV and the name of it was "Serie Rose".

It took place in the 1800's, and each episode was shot by a different director.

The actresses were from different European countries.

I am not sure I'm right about it, I'll let you know more after further inquiry!

2HOT may be right on the money, the name of the series eluded me but it fits the description. All the stories were adaptations of libertine novellas by classic European authors. Good luck if you can find it on DVD or even tapes ! It sometimes replays on European cable channels. I don't know of any softcore clip site that would carry samples of that show. It's rarer than "Secrets de Femmes / Afrodisia"

You are welcome, Oatmeal! I am sorry I can't help much. I read on internet that a DVD pack of this series (at least a part of it) exists, but unfortunately the link I was given wouldn't work! I'll post once I get to know more about it!
