As a writer, you need to show that this film is easily made and can attract buyers. The main thing that will sell the film is the cover. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The most important part of the cover is the picture, but the writer can control two things at the point-of-sale: the title and the tag line. (In Babysitters, the tag line is "Knock, knock... 'Honey the babysitter is here'." Note: New Sensations doesn't use tag lines: ![]() I would start by crafting a title, tag line, and synopsis. (You can read some synopses at IMDB.) Then I would research studios that might make the movie, by paying attention to the credits, and learning what you can on the internet. People on this board might help. Then I would email one or two people in each studio who might be able to decide to make the movie. Use the tag line in the subject, the synopsis in the body, and let them know that if they are interested you can send a treatment or the whole script. I wouldn't be too disappointed if this approach doesn't work at first, but if you're professional about it, they may ask if you have any other ideas. |
