Has anyone else tried to buy and download (i.e., not stream but actually store on your hard-drive) a premium scene from moviebox.com lately? They have a scene-by-scene iTunes-like format...so you don't pay a monthly fee but instead just buy what you want for a buck or two.
On their tour / info pages, they say that you can download in various formats (with no DRM and including portable formats) to your hard-drive. They show the download option as available when you go to a premium scene on their site when not logged in. But...when you log in, the download options for premium scenes disappear -- and they aren't there after you actually pay for a scene ("unlock" one), either.
The download options are there for the non-premium scenes, though. The premium scenes cost about twice what the non-premium scenes cost.
Anyway, this wasn't always the case, b/c I got a premium scene for free (and a non-premium scene for free) when I first created an account as part of their enticement to create one...maybe a month ago (?). At that time, I could download the premium scene to my hard-drive. Now...it has taken away the download option for that premium scene, and the download option for another premium scene that I paid the $2 for (the only one I have actually paid for so far) isn't there...so it can only be streamed but not downloaded.
Long story short--if you are going to buy a premium scene from moviebox, keep in mind that you likely won't be able to download it, keep it, etc. as their info pages seem to say that you can. It's not easy to realize that they have taken away the download option for premium scenes until after you buy one and find that you don't have the option. (I have checked other premium scenes on there, and they seem to be the same way, too.)
Does anyone have any info about this?
Thanks...
Edit: I notified them, but I have yet to hear back -- this was in the last week.

Update:
Heard back from moviebox.com, and they said that you can't download the "premium" scenes (even though you used to be able to do so) but instead can just stream them.
So...before purchasing a premium scene from them, be aware of this fact -- the advertising / setup is somewhat misleading.

Thanks for the warning.
First Brazzers dirty tricks, now this.
I started an earlier thread about a related topic, asking the question "What differentiates a streaming-only scene from a downloadable scene?" I suspect it's just a money grab on the part of the website, and has nothing to do with licensing or copyright. After all, many/most of these scenes are (or were) available on DVD you could purchase and own forever. Streaming is more profitable to the website than download, due to repeat veiwings. This just makes more customers for the makers of video capture software.

^In all fairness to them, you "stream to own" -- so you can view it as often as you want w/o any extra charge -- you just lose the ability to watch it on a portable device or w/o the internet connected, etc.
For me, that's a big drawback, though.
