Nevertheless... it would take more than just flexibility. You'd have to have a combination of flexibility and a structural 'advantage'... i.e... a short torso/long neck perhaps. I would say that the vast majority of people would never be able to do that no matter how flexible they are. At a certain point... you just can't go any further... 'cause bones don't bend :-)

As for yoga... it does give you great flexibility (I can get my feet behind my head if I'm warmed up but I sure as hell can't lick my balls!!)... as well as core strength... balance... etc... but there are very few poses where you try to bend forward in the spine... i.e. with a rounded back. I can only think of one actually... and I know hundreds of poses. Yoga usually focuses on opening the front of the body... not compressing it into a little ball so you can lick your balls :-P Where the back is concerned, you are usually either doing back bends (i.e. arching it, not rounding it) or... in forward bends... trying to keep the spine straight... reaching forward with the breast bone.

So the best practice for trying to lick yourself is probably years and years of trying to lick yourself :-P Looking at a picture of that freaky Al dude... I can see that his lumbar spine is almost flat and he's folded right over in the thoracic region... crazy shit :-P He's gotta be putting some crazy stress on the fronts of those discs. I bet the dude can't touch his toes... but he's got the self-sucking thing mastered... LOL.
