Hi all! I am looking for movies with a storyline/plot. There are a few mainstream movies out there that include explicit sex-scenes, and I just love them. Can anyone recommend movies that are almost set up like regular movies, only with hardcore scenes? I guess sort of like "pirates"..
Thanks you guys.

^ You beat me to it wcw. Yeah, there are more narrative-based porn films than you can shake a stick at, some of which are my favourite films, porno or no-porno. The Feature Side is where it's at.

You might want to tell us what kind of storyline and types of sex you are looking for. That might help us offer some suggestions.

well, as for types of sex, in plot based movies, i do enjoy the scenes that are a bit "artistic", in terms of music, perhaps use of slow-motion and such...and preferrably threesomes or fffm scenes.
i know that a few of digital playground's releases are just up my alley. such as "nurses" and "babysitters". i enjoyed them both!
but even movies that are more like a mainstream movie are good. if anyone know mainstream movies like "the band" and "shortbus", i do enjoy that its a regular movie, but the lovemaking scenes are explicit and detailed...
anyway thanks for your help!

Nothing to Hide is an old classic from the 70s you might enjoy. Sex World also springs to mind, but these are very different from modern features, better imo.

^ I will second that emotion. Those films are fantastic. Definitely in my top 10.
Other excellent plot-based porn (these are all old):
Amanda By Night (and I like the sequel too)
Private Afternoons of Pamela Mann
Taboo (1 and 2 are the best)
Through the Looking Glass (this one is very dark)
Cafe Flesh (also very dark and visually incredible)
The Opening of Misty Beethoven
Films that are more centered around sex *as* plot (i.e. the sex takes up most of the film, but it's engaging like narrative):
The Devil in Miss Jones (for me, this lives up to any amount of hype)
Insatiable
Enjoy! I wish I could watch all of these for the first time again.

i checked out Nothing to Hide...Loved it! So i even got Nothing to Hide 2, which was pretty nice as well! So thanks for the tip on that one!
Ill try to look into some of the other suggestions as well! Feel free to add more recent plot-based movies as well! Perhaps other than the digital playground stuff, because I know alot of them allready.
Thanks alot everyone!

I'm gonna concentrate on the more "artistic" side you talked about. These are the more artistic films that I find interesting:
Pinups from Vivid (starring Devon)
Vortexxx (starring Monica Mayhem)
6th Reflection (starring Alexa Rae)
Dinner Party 3 (starring Carmen Luvana)
Looking In from Vivid (starring Savanna Samson)
Marissa (starring Cassidey)
The New Devil in Miss Jones (starring Savanna Samson)
Milfwood USA (starring Savanna again...yeah I'm definitely a fan)
Lust on The Orient Express (starring Tracy Adams/Gina Carrera) (an oldie but goodie)

This is my first post here, so I hope I don't make any faux pas.
Gore Gore Girl has suggested several of my favorites. A few more I might add from that time frame, some with plot, others more of the sex as plot, as defined by GGG:
Dixie Ray, Hollywood Star (Sort of film noir, porn style. I have read criticisms of the acting involved, but for porn, I thought the actors read lines and portrayed characters convincingly. It might not be Streep, but then again, I haven't yet seen Streep give up her goodies on screen. I'd watch if she did, though)
F (aka Dream Girl) (Annette Haven heads a great cast in a nicely shot, imaginative movie that at times almost had the feel of a porn Road To movie, if anyone else here is old enough to remember those.)
Wanda Whips Wall Street (My all time favorite star Veronica Hart in a comic romp.)
The Female Object (A French film with an interesting twist on male-as-authority.)
Barbara Broadcast (This is all style and little substance, but the style is too deliciously frothy to miss. Ultimately, the film sort of just fizzles out, but the journey is still fun.)
Neon Nights (Some great visuals help overcome a somewhat obscure story.)
Anyone But My Husband (Sex as plot made memorable by a wonderfully sexy performance from C.J. Laing.)
And, for something more modern, I would suggest looking at Brad Armstrong's directorial efforts, which are often plot heavy and with a lot of attention to look and style; Euphoria would be one example.
I am sure I will think of a dozen more as soon as I post this, but it's already overlong.

Thanks for these more modern recommendations Aplus, I'm not very strong on modern features. I did like The Eye of the Beholder and The Sex Files though, both good modern features.

Welcome to ADT! Glad to have another classics/feature fan around.
I personally thought the acting in Dixie Ray was good, I just don't think the script ever reached a point that was as smart as it thought it was. Shame, because the cast was great.
I also like Wanda Whips Wall Street (coolest cover art ever??), but I just can't count it as one of the greats for some reason. I think the ending has a lot to do with it.
F is something I've been wanting to see for a long, long time - John Leslie in every scene??? I'm so down. It's like it was made for me.
Neon Nights is another I want to see - started it, but the synch was out and figured it would be best to wait for a different copy.
I'll have to check out Anyone But My Husband - sounds cool.

Let me add to list even though a lot of my favorites have already been mentioned here.
Awakening - (john lyons, will back me up on this one in my opinion it's probably Paul Thomas's all time underrated film.)
Heart Of Darkness - (Another Paul Thomas film with an outstanding acting performance by Randy Spears and Sunrise Adams, sure a pleasure to look at.)
The Masseuse -(Another incredible acting performance by Randy Spears, with Hyapatia Lee,quite the pleasure to look at,now if you get the newer version with Jenna Jameson,in it the original is included as well.)
The New Devil Jones -(I'll second this one because it was an excellent remake and with this you get the original Devil In Miss also what's really cool about the New DMJ,Georgina Spelvin the original Justine Jones appears in a non sex role. This is my favorite Paul Thomas film).
Corruption & Upload - (A couple of Eli Cross, films with a big budget and I would recommend the directors cut on both of these.)
James Avalon,is director who's movies I really enjoy.
Les Vampyres
Les Vampyres 2
Nothing To Hide 3 & 4
Shrink Wrapped
Red Vibe Diaries 1,2 & 3
Trial By Copulation
Sex Pix
Some Evil Angel Titles
The Dog Walker (Directed by John Leslie)
The Ass Collector (Directed by Rocco Siffredi)
Fashionistas (Directed by John Stagliano)
Fashionistas Safado (Directed by John Stagliano)
Fashionistas Belin (Directed by John Stagliano)
Wild Goose Chase (Directed by John Stagliano)
Buda (Directed by John Sagliano)
Sex Freaks (Directed by Greg Dark)
Brianna Love Her Fine Sexy Self (Directed by John Leslie)

^ I started Miles From Needles, but didn't finish it (not because it was bad, just late, and never got back to it. I will revisit that one soon).
+1 to Upload, I really enjoyed that.
I will have to check out Heart of Darkness - anything to do with the novel? If so...my dissertation is calling...
Oh, and this one tends to divide folks, but I give a hearty recommendation to The Accidental Hooker. I hate on Brad Armstrong much of the time, but I can't deny he has made some of my favourite films.

^Yeah I didn't really care for Miles From Needles in the beginning however you have to watch the entire movie to truly appreciate it,then you say to yourself wow!!!!!!! I cannot believe what just watched.
Heart Of Darkness it's a coin flip between Awakening for my second favorite Paul Thomas movie.I'll say this I liked Heart Darkness so much that when I first got it I watched twice.

I highly recommend "Loaded", a feature starring a young, juicy Jesse Jane which kept me up all night when I rented it. I couldn't stop watching this movie because I had never seen American porn done like this before. Typically really well-developed feature porn comes from Europe, the Private movies with voice-overs.
Some other great movies with plot are:
"Camp Cudddly Pines: Powertool Massacre which won a number of AVN awards
"Cry Wolf" which won an AVN award in 2009
"Texas Vibrator Massacre" (don't laugh it was actually damn good starring Roxy Deville) which also won an AVN in 2009
"Get Reel" which features the exotic and enticing Adrenalynn and should have been at least nominated IMHO
"Pirates" had a good plot, but the sequel didn't; it only had a great cast and costumes, the story really sucked in comparision IMHO
If you like Pirates check out its inspiration, "Conquest" featuring Jenna Jameson and a cast of her contemporaries which won all sorts of awards in 1996
Lastly, I really enjoyed "Coming Home" by Brad Armstrong. He really lost himself while he was directing that one lol, but hey I appreciate any artist who can get so deep into muse that they forget that they're making a porno :-)

I strongly endorse the inclusion of Corruption and Upload in this thread, Corruption in particular, even though I often found it uncomfortable to watch.
All-sex movies really don't interest me; I want a plot. It doesn't have to be a highly original or complex plot, just some structure to hang the sex scenes on. Furthermore, I want those sex scenes to arise naturally from the plot. Some features seem to combine two movies in one: a narrow, poorly developed plot-based tale, periodically interrupted by utterly unrelated scenes from an all-sex movie. (Many titles from the Private label are particularly prone to this failing.) Yecch; I want an organic whole.
Corruption is as good an example of sex integrated into plot as one is likely to find. The movie is hard, nasty, ugly in nature because the plot dictates it; therefore, the sex is as well. Eli Cross couldn't have made it any softer or prettier without ... well, corrupting the story. The casual cruelty of its characters is what made parts of it hard for me to watch, but the piece as a whole was blunt, riveting, and sexy as hell. A perfect example of what plot-based porn can be.

Ok, just bought a copy of Loaded and Miles from Needles. And planning on a copy of New Devil in Miss Jones with the original included.
At least for starters, and I will go through the list! So many suggestions! Thank you so much everyone!
Also, I think the "Erotique" trailer looked really interesting! Has anyone seen that feature?

Is that the Erotique with Jesse Jane? If so, yes I did see it. I was disappointed by it. No live audio from what I remember. Since you like music, you may enjoy it though. A little "too" artistic for my tastes.
Haven't seen Miles From Needles, but I did enjoy Loaded though. I remember watching Loaded twice when I first bought it years ago, and I rarely watch any film back-to-back from I first get it.

Jack 'n' Jill from 1979 should suit your tastes well. Lots of situational sex, at least one scene with two couples playing strip poker, and excellent production values.
With Samantha Fox at the top of her game and porn's leading supporting player of the time Merle Michaels by her side, this might just prove a springboard for you to explore the incredible catalogue of both ladies, particularly Samantha, who over the course of her career might have had more lines of dialogue than any actress in history, Meryl Streep included.

Hot Rackets. Starring Desiree Cousteau, Candida Royale and others was an early fave of mine.
Imagine which starred Ashlyn Gere was a later fave of mine.
Then came Still Insatiable which starred Marilyn Chambers and my all time best pornstar Kylie.

Another oldie that I watched a few days ago is Roberta Findlay's The Tiffany Minx. Findlay manages to sustain a nice level of suspense. As a minor quibble, one of my feature film peeves is somewhat triggered by the inclusion of a couple of sex scenes that are superfluous to the plot, but the scenes were hot enough that I can easily forgive the transgression.

Not to be picky here..but is this turning in to a "great oldies" thread instead of what the topic was initially about? Or am i just misunderstanding some of the suggestions here?
I have btw watched a few other of the above mentioned, and there are some true gems in here! Thank you guys so much for all the contributions! Personally, I did however enjoy Jesse Jane Erotique very much! The music and the filming was basically JUST what i was looking for, just wish there was a bit more "plot" to it in between the sex scenes and it would have been perfect! :)

Your original request was for "movies that are almost set up like regular movies, only with hardcore scenes" - in my opinion, these don't really exist anymore (very, very rarely), and so you are likely to be recommended 98% old films.
If you're looking for exclusively new films, you're probably not looking for films that resemble "regular" movies, but more porno with some semblance of a plot. But the closest you will get in my opinion is Cry Wolf (2008). I think that's the best recent feature, with sex integrated into narrative. A few other newer ones have been suggested also, and "a few" is likely the most new films you'll get recommended, unfortunately. Another good new one is Sleeping Around - I really like that film. Anything by Stormy Daniels is good, generally.
I thought you had also said you liked it when the sex is integrated into the plot - maybe I'm mis-remembering. But if that's your thing, the 70s/80s are the place to go.

Then, you might like Penny Flame's feature that's in two parts at the beginning of Brazzer's REAL WIFE STORIES VOL.6 but it's a safe bet that my gal would snooze through this sex-heavy flick with a bare-bones story. The other night, she stayed awake through DEBBIE DOES EM ALL (1984) and seemed to like it---T0M

Not sure that is entirely true. I believe almost everything Wicked Picures makes is still plot-heavy. Most of the others have appeared to lean against them though. When it comes to Wicked films though, I'd pretty much recommend anything with Jessica Drake in it. I think she's that good. I enjoyed her in "Delilah." Might be too-heavy (dark) for some though, which a lot of Wicked films seem to lean towards. If you like "Erotique" by Nick Andrews, you may also like "Rush" by Nick. You may also want to look through more films directed by Joon, and maybe try Celeste directed films too.

^ I didn't say they weren't plot heavy - I said the sex/plot are not integrated. As in, the sex doesn't stem organically from narrative in the way a lot of older films it did. I thought the OP had said somewhere that she liked this integrated style. I actually really like Wicked movies (2005-2008 in particular are great years).

I second that recommendation of "Cry Wolf". It is actually a remake/reboot of a 90's movie starring Josh Brolin with Reese Witherspoon in Monique Alexander's role.
I alos have to state that depite its hackneyed plot Brad Armstrong's "Coming Home" was a very strong porn feature. I would have to rate it a little higher than "Cry Wolf" honestly because it becomes evident during the shooting of this movie that Armstrong went crazy rotflmao. He seems to:
1.) basically forget that he is shooting a porno and not a lifetime movie; or
2.) really believe that this movie will be provided by the USO for troops who are about to be deployed to fight the war on terror in Afganistan/Iraq.
I think that it was the later rather than the former because Armstrong really went in on this joint, HE PUT HIS HEART IN IT!!!

Here is another porn feature which slipped under the radar years ago . . . "Blue Rain".
Featuring contract star Kaylani, this crime thriller had plenty if interracial sex in it and beautiful women as well. Kaylani plays a cop who is assigned to a new partner, Mr. Marcus, a shady detective who knows all the gray areas of police work and the shady characters as well. I can't believe that Wicked made an IR feature like this in 2003 and has basically ignored this genre since then; I had to buy it and am very glad that I did.

Try some of the earlier John Leslie-directed films, with the exception of "Nightshift Nurses," his first, which is kind of goofy, but has great sex! Check out "Goin' Down Slow" and "The Catwoman." Hot with plot!
