^^ Ironically, the pic I'm trying to upload is the one you have right now. Unless you got it from my profile? 😌 Edited by - Secret Guy on 2/9/2018 9:36:39 PM
Try it again. There was a file caught in limbo associated with your account. Images are uploaded to a temporary folder, processed, copied to their final destination and the original is deleted. For some reason the original of a previous attempt was not cleaned out and the code was not setup to allow over writing an existing file.
i wanted to say thanks and didnt know where to put it. I guess here is the right place. Thanks for keeping the forum as it is for all the time since i joined. I hate it if sites are being (graphicly) redone every now and then. I like the way ADT "feels" and i hope it stays that way for many years to come. Cube
Unfortunately w're going to need to change things soon-ish. Google has rolled out their mobile-first index recently. We're seeing a drop in traffic as a result because the site doesn't meet all of Google's mobile-friendly design guidelines. We're unfortunately highly dependent on them for traffic so a reworking of the site is coming this summer.
what is this world becomming to ? Everything mobile all the time. Can´t eat enough for all i want to puke. I hope it will "feel" as good as the present design Google and all those other "BIG" names become more of a plague and i fear when everything comes down one day. Cube ... not amused
We're going through this exercise again starting sometime tonight. We're moving to a semi-permanent home: our own servers. I hope to avoid some of the mess reported in this thread this time.
We're on the new server now. Still a few hours of work to do. Some forum images, movie box covers and avatars/profile photos haven't been moved yet. They're on their way.
All of the image data has been moved to the new server and the CDN servers have been purged of any old info. The site move should be done except for a few administrative tasks.

One problem I have had since the move: When I type adultdvdtalk.com into my Google Chrome browser and hit "Enter," a blank white page with "HTTP Error" immediately pops up. If I hadn't done a Google search for ADT a couple minutes ago and clicked the link (that's how I finally got back on the forum right now), I would've assumed that the site was still down. Additionally, I have found that my avatar image went back to the old one (Adria Rae Facialized #5 DVD cover). EDIT: Scratch that. I just logged off and exited my Google Chrome browser. Opened it again and tried to go directly to ADT again (by typing it in), and it worked this time, ADT came right up. All day Sunday and for the first attempt today, I was getting that white "HTTP Error" page. Edited by - Mass Facialties on 7/23/2018 1:27:07 PM
I hadn't setup the site to redirect from "adultdvdtalk.com" to "www.adultdvdtalk.com". I added that after you posted. And I neglected to copy the folder of avatars from the old server to the new so I did that and flushed the CDN cache too.
I hope the new server is just as fast or maybe faster than the old setup. Folks on the west coast may see a slightly longer delay in page loading times because the new server is on the east coast. The old server was in Phoenix.

Ugh, I hate to be a pain in the ass (again), but...now I'm having difficulty uploading a new avatar image. Once I saw the old one was no longer being displayed, I went to upload a new image. I can choose the file and click "Upload," but shortly after I get an "Upload complete!" message, this appears: Upload Status Virus scanning the uploaded files... It's here where the page seems to get stuck and I am unable to upload the new image.

^ This is actually what first appears when I click Upload: The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred.
I checked the server. The routine that sends messages is working. It sends every 30 minutes. The next time it is scheduled to run is 12:50pm EDT. (In about 20 minutes.)
I just ran it manually so I could watch things to be sure every was going out OK. I also checked the SMTP logs since the 23rd of when things were switched to the new server. I see the server has attempted to send you 664 emails since then to the @gmx.de address.
i havent received a single email notification in the last month. mayby gmx is completely blocking them. i would have tried to use another email-account, but i cant update my profile (Server object error).
