It suggest Quick time stand alone player as codec, but wheni download and install that, i still have the same problme as before, there is audio but no video. [Link] |

| johnshaft820 Member 271 Posts 1/05 | Posted - Jul 18 2006 : 10:18AM I downloaded a sample .mp4 file encoded with H.264. Quicktime and Windows Media Player 9 won't play it. I was able to play it with the following players: VLC Media Player and mplayer. VLC might be more to your liking because mplayer lacks a GUI, you have to run it from a command line. Hope this solves your problem! (Edited to add that another option is to install the latest ffdshow filter (the one at the top of the page). Then you can watch H.264-encoded .mp4 files on Windows Media Player.)
