Hi guys,
20 years ago when I was just a 13-year-old kid, two of my friends thought it would be a good idea to give me an adult movie VHS videocassette for my birthday.
They said it was the new Stallone or Schwarzenegger action movie at the time so my parents won't find out. They also told me to watch it the next day alone.
My god, imagine a 13-year-old kid watching an adult movie for the first time, it was the first adult movie I watched and I remember watching it almost every day.
I had to hide the videocassette so my parents won't find it, because if they found it I could have gotten in trouble, they were different times back in the '90s.
I couldn't even speak English that well (I am from Europe), and I didn't even know the name of the adult movie.
Around 5 or 6 months later, my cousin came to visit us and I gave him the videocassette to watch it a few times, he promised to return it in a week.
After a month he comes to visit us again and I asked him - "Where is the videotape cousin?" His face turned red, he started sweating. "I lost the tape" - he said.
It turned out that he gave it to some friend, and his friend gave it to another friend who lived in another town, and he also gave it around to his friends ... and we lost track of it. And to this day we don't know where the tape is.
With the help of iafd I managed to find out the name of the movie:
Big Stick-up (1994)
http://www.iafd.com/title.rme/title=Big+Stick-up/year=1994/big-stick-up.htm
There it says that AdultDVDMarketplace sells it for $69.98
http://www.adultdvdmarketplace.com/xcart/adult_dvd/dvd_view.php?adult_dvd_id=254063&partner=iafd
But I live in Europe and it says: This seller does not ship internationally.
The seller name is: DericksFlix
http://www.adultdvdmarketplace.com/xcart/adult_dvd/user_view.php?listing_login=DericksFlix
I have never used adultdvdmarketplace before, do you guys know how I can contact the seller DericksFlix?
Is there some other place where I could find this old movie from 1994?
I am willing to pay and buy this movie if someone has it.
Thanks for your time guys, I hope I can still find it somewhere.

I don't think that movie has seen a legal DVD release yet. That seller is the only one who seems to be selling it, and is selling it on DVD-R only, so I suspect it is a bootleg.
Vantage Video Distributors currently handles distribution for Western Visuals, I would contact them as they would know for sure.

druidblackangel, thank you so much for the e-mail good sir!
I will try to contact the seller, this will be my first time buying like this, apart from asking him about the shipping, should I also ask him details about the size and video quality of the DVD? Or a few screenshots maybe?
Thanks for replying Flash, I think you could be right, you think it could be made from an old VHS tape?
I visited Vantage Video Distributors and they have titles from 2005-2016, I haven't asked them yet because I don't know their e-mail.
This is an old movie from 1994 and I couldn't find it in their current list.
Thanks for your help guys.

Not a problem as the seller usually posts if it is a DVD-R or not on the listing and Flash is spot on with the website as some titles may not have found their way to being released on DVD. I will say though that some titles thought to be only DVD-R are not such as the Hollywood Video catalog and Pick Up Lines series and if the distributor still exists such as Vantage they should know. Derrick is great at answering emails and questions though the screenshots may be a bit much but I am confident he would reply back at the very least.

You shouldn't buy bootlegs or from a company that bootlegs. He shouldn't even be allowed to sell on ADM since that is stealing.

Not if it was never released on DVD. VHS though technically the legitimate source as that point is akin to 8Track with so few people having equipment to utilize that option it then is not unreasonable for these "transfers" to be sold but only if properly stated so. I despise bootlegs but since many titles are VHS only now and VHS production is not occurring and the companies which originally sold these properties no longer in existence or harder to track down and or will communicate back it just is not realistic to expect "transfers" to not pop up. If something say for instance like a Blacked or Tushy release which are current and easily sourced are bootlegged those are the ones which should be reported and have some expectation of action being taken. Though when I was in the business and reported such to some of the companies most were unable or unwilling to do much sad to say as bootlegging hurts us all. Did not want to seem as though I was advocating or approving of any bootleg but I am a realist especially when titles never made it past the VHS age.

The fact something hasn't been released on DVD does not mean anyone who finds a VHS copy can make copies and sell them. That is illegal. They don't own the rights to the movie, they haven't leased the rights to the movie, so distributing the movie is illegal. There isn't a clause in copyright law that states when under x percentage of players exist, it is okay to make it public domain. Sorry, what he is doing is wrong.

Flash under the letter of the law you are correct, that said he is being transparent with what it is. I do agree and there are numerous sellers on there who do specialize doing this only, this seller is not one of them. I do wonder why ADM does allow these sellers to continue but that is not for me to say. And with the vast amount of tube sites as well as torrent I guess physical media is not quite the "darling" as the prime focus of copyright infringement. Not looking to argue just wanted to address and assist someone looking for a special to them DVD that likely was never produced by the parent company.
