So my first ever Exxxotica Chicago, I thought it would be huge, I go there and it was not the biggest show but I was really there for pictures and autographs with the stars, I foolishly got there around 1230 and was amazed to see people I'd only seen on TV before, Alexis Texas was there, I took a picture with her and got an autographed picture, I felt kind of weird walking around waiting for more stars to show, then Tori Lane appeared, got a picture with her,(she was patient with me trying to get some guy to take a decent picture with my camera) then I saw Sophie Dee. At this point I must tell you if you go to Exxxotica bring a friend who has some picture taking skills, as most of my pictures came out just average. Seriously. Its a thousand dollar camera, you'd think it would be so hard to operate and get good shots. Asking someone else seemed to get me the worst picture takers on the planet, they all cropped poorly or took only one shot, I mean seriously this is the digital age pictures are free, take a hundred not just one so I can get a nice shot. Vicky Vette had her own table and I was impressed to see she spent alot of time with fans, I've always thought she had a beautiful face, we talked for a few minutes, she told me she started in modeling but kept taking her clothes off and then she joked about her "crooked smile" which I always thought was one of her best features. She told me to stop by when I left, I should of but didnt want to bother her or seem "stalkerish". I waited a while and went to a lecture by a lawyer guy about the porn business, he told you how you could make money jacking off for gay guys on camera and other ins and outs about making money in the industry (made me laugh, a very entertaining speaker) Then Teagan appeared, she signed my DVD and took a picture with me. She said she hadn't seen that picture. (its an older DVD-Take one for the Cream) I'd hoped to see Ron Jeremy but he wasn't coming til 4pm and I couldn't stay. I also had hoped to see Lexi Belle but I had to go. Was it worth it? Of course it was a significant drive for me, but a chance to see some of the hottest women on the planet and get a picture with the stars in real life-awesome!show (6).jpg

I wish the hours been like 3-10 or something like that I cant imagine making the stars stand there all day, it would have been better for me if I'd showed up at 3, but at least I got exercise walking. I'm sure the show got bigger and wilder in the evening show (7).jpg but i had to visit my friend in the city and drive home

If you go to another event where you want your picture taken with the stars you could get an inexpensive point and shoot which should be easier for others to use and use your good camera for solo shots. My camera isn't as expensive as yours but I rarely let anybody else handle it unless they're also using high quality equipment and know how to handle it. When you let others handle your camera there's always a chance they could drop it or put their fingers on the lens if they don't know what they're doing.

its not lack of familiarity with camera, these people had cameras themselves, its pretty easy press halfway to focus then all the way to shoot, plus with beautiful women pressed against a guy you might want to get her whole body in the shot, I think next time I'll ask one of the guys with photographers vests on, they probably take photography seriously, but I appreciate the advice, you might be right something even simpler may be necessary

Different strokes for different folks. If I'm getting a picture of myself with somebody else, the last thing I want is a full-body shot. Either portrait from the waist up, or landscape from the chest up. For me, these moments are all about the facial expressions, so I wanna see detail. Full-body shots are only warranted if there's some funny business going on below the waist.

Not crop, zoom. I mean if you want to see the texture of their makeup or whether they properly flossed, you can zoom in digitally whether it's a full body or a portrait shot.

I don't actually spend much time on MFC. I've just befriended several of them over the years at the shows or outside, and they keep introducing me to their new friends.
