Lately some posters have suggested writing reviews to alert fellow ADT'ers of any issues/turnoffs. And I wanted to contribute to the forum other than posts. I appreciate the reviewers here at ADT and their reviews have helped in making my purchasing decisions. I would love to hear some feedback; shorten/lenghten the review, more scene description, more sarcasm. Thanks.  [Link] |

The only time you can really expect people to have seen specific movies is when the film being reviewed is part of a short series (e.g., Private's Tatiana Trilogy) where the storyline is directly connected. If understanding your review relies on the reader having seen a specific set of movies, then you have effectively cut down your readership enormously. It's one thing to expect porn viewers to have seen a Seymour Butts movies; it's totally something else to expect some to have seen someone's directorial debut. Enough said on this topic. I also advise caution when using acronyms. You have used a couple that I only recognize because of a very recent thread discussing them. Good luck. [Link] |
